QFR Mod in Progress.
« on: Sun, 02 February 2014, 05:41:56 »
Started working on my QFR to turn it into my dream board. I sanded off all the rubber coating, primed brown, and repainted her with Satin orange Rustoleum.

Once my tax refund arrives I plan on ordering this keycap set from WASD Keyboards:

Got the key caps. I didn't create a path correctly, and it ended up being printed in Calibri instead of Exocet. Really tacky font aside, I love the color layout, and the letters looks really crisp.

That still looks great though! Much better font than the original QFR.

Very nice! I must admit however that I liked the contrast of the black keys against the bright colored board. Either way, good work.  :thumb:

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
