1) Capslock in R kit was revised. (Old normal Capslock ==> New Stepped Capslock for OG fit)
2) M kit and Icon modi kit are same as last update
Maybe 3D renderings will be updated next week.

Some years ago, one KR guy found G81-3000HBD with colorful double shot keycapss. KBD housing had engrave as 'Handarbeit'
And this was only one keyboard which have been found.
So, so many users have wanted to get this keyboard.

2 years ago, I designed this set(Rendering date. 07.28.2016) but continuously refused from GMK.
But I try try try try....... again to make this set and just confirmed from GMK!!!! :thumb:
This GMK rendering was designed before 2 years ago, so need to add and modify somethings.
- Base kit will be modified.
- Extension kit will be added.
- Maybe Blank color kit will be added.
Please wait modified design!
At this stage, just I want to inform that Handarbeit+ will come true.
Just wait to make some modification and kits.
I don't know exactly but will not cheap set because of so many colors are combined.
I hope that this set will be started within end of this year.

I think for this one, given the original board was ISO DE it should absolutely be included as an homage if nothing else. And whilst I am an ISO user I’d still say that even if I wasn’t for this example. It’s such an iconic board in the community I suspect a lot of people would want to recreate that

Selling 150 sets of this is still going to be hard. The reference board is incredibly niche as is and the color scheme is a tiny bit weird. As is it'll probably just hit moq + 30 sets maximum.

Just run it man, here are plenty of buyers and i want to buy a high quality version that is perfect including iso de as the original. I wouldn't buy this from zfrontier, they clearly saw this thread here and just want to make a quick buck... I'll offer to buy 3 and sure others would buy enough too if u are concerned about moq.

Thats the thing coco was talking about, the renders were asked by multiple parties, before this thread came out as well.
Before it was just that the MOQ was prohibitively high for a set that maybe 1/50 of people currently in this hobby would even consider, hitting 300+ or even 500 MOQ would be improbable for a keyset that doesn't really fit a scheme.
But yeah, at this point it would be best for someone to start the momentum, just whoever has the logistics to ship these sets quickly, price wise I don't think this set will be very profitable.
Also I'm not sure if it was zfrontier, I should probably step back and let someone more knowledgeable on this buy step in, I just wanted to put out my opinion on why it seems like people are all sniping this opportunity .

Don‘t call it GMK Handarbeit if it‘s not a real replica of the original set. Call it GMK HAUarbeit or something like that.

I don't know what is more effective base (Ansi or ISO DE). But important thing is "I am designing this set considering both ISO DE + Ansi"

Little detail you are ignoring. GMK charges per color. So a 2 color kit is cheaper than a 3 or 4 or 10 colored kit.

Usability-wise, the most difficult thing seems to be with symbols (above numbers or right side), I regularly get stumped on those while using DE layout.

Generally GB price will be decided by GMK Quotation, Shipping cost(GMK=>Proxy), proxy costs, currency conversions, tax, boxing, bank transfer fee(proxy to GMK). Also paypal fee and domestic shipping cost.

The German kit sounds nice but I would suggest to add a few more keys. First of all I would add Ansi-de support cause not everybody likes iso and some people like german mods. Nothing is OG since ANSI isn't OG.
The numpad nipple is horrible. Nobody likes nipples except in real life.
About the hhkb key, that's used on ansi hhkb, not in the ISO generic or Japanese.
American iso would be more appwaling thanuk iso.

Renders are part of the process. You go from complaining about the price, lying to try and trick the OP into a different price, not taking anything on the costing side into consideration - to now wanting to hurry the thing up and skip renders, which will be an essential part of this sets success.
This isn’t a set that would do well traditionally - it’s something that needs to be nurtured to get over the line. Rushing it through will help no one except those that want the set to fail.
You are impatient and petulant and need to add either constructive feedback or hold off from posting. Let OP do his thing.

It isn't your decision to run the set via massdrop - whether or not they own the site. Thats up to OP. He is doing a great job. As i said before you are being impatient and petulant. Even Massdrop would struggle to get this set to $99 (or a small amount more). Either you are new to the community, or have little understanding of the GB process, or you dont understand the financials that have to be taken into consideration, OR, as I said once before you are just trolling.
Most sets with a couple of custom colours don't even get as low as $130, never mind one that has this many.
In the one month you reference, the OP has updated the kits, added renders, discussed the layout options and given explanations on what may drive the price. This may surprise you but the OP has a life outside of this IC and potential GB. GBs are sometimes slow moving. I'm building an ISO-DE board for this set. I hate ISO and think the black death was a more favorable European export than the ISO layout, but I've gotta set my preferences aside on this one.

Agreed. An extra kit with red homing keycaps (scoops only) should cost about 1 USD. Suppose that we only sell 30 sets, that would bring the cost to 5 USD for each kit, still affordable (given a MOQ of 150).

I also, had no idea this was actually going to GB when I posted the comment I posted. I just replied from the front page thinking it was just another meme IC. I would have never said that if I had known it was actually scheduled. I will never root for something to fail. Oversight on my part for not reading all the comments before posting.

First of all, hey, hi. I don't think any vendors wish for any group buys to fail. It's a bad sign for the community's growth, tbh.
Going on,
I picked up this set as a last second emergency tap-in, and while I still don't like it, now that I'm directly involved in it I'm going to try my damndest to get this thing into the air. I thought it was a meme as well, especially since r1 failed. Now that I'm part of this GB on the interior I can say that if it fails, I tried my best.
But, if I were not part of this group buy, it would have crashed and burned day one. I'm going to be honest here, no one knows what this set is. It was already in a very poor state during the IC process. The lackluster publicity of this set and poor utilization of any social media at all really put the nail in the coffin with this group buy. To be honest, this buy should have been delayed to have any chance at all of succeeding due to it's generally poor public management. There's a couple of problems with this set but that's probably the big glaring one to me. I hope this buy does well but I do have a very pessimistic outlook on the whole situation still, honestly. With a good amount of public shoving I've been able to garner a good handful of sales through prior sponsorships I've had, a rather large public discord channel, and a modest social media push. TX Keyboards, who initially was supposed to be in my position before this buy, does not have any of these things, and day 1 of R2 handarbeit would just look like day 1 of R1 handarbeit. A small pocket of zealots and everyone else looking at them weird.
So in the end, we'll see, we'll see. I know when to call it quits and if the order quantity is too low by a certain date-milestone in the buy I know that I will pull the plug to save my time and my customers' dollars. I don't have any capital to "save" this buy with. That money has been tied up for the last few months in other projects, and as mentioned before this was pretty much an emergency tap-in.

Last bit was hyperbolic but I'm still super confident there's no chance this is a miss this go around again; 1/5th the way by yourself before the GB post had been approved is solid, I wonder what it'll take for a set to not make MOQ now and am curious to see which one will be the "winner".
