I mean the modifier is icon mold, so the arrow is suitable. but jtk has not 1.5 backspace text so far, I will consider this.

- the UK iso keys don't have sublegends, so it would look very weird. They should have sublegends like the rest of the keys.

- I think an arrow for caps lock would be better, but that's just my preference. you could offer different variants within the base kit, as JTK is quite a lot cheaper than GMK.

Oh I understand how they are supposed to look like. I just wanted to see an actual keycap with the tripleshot legends. maybe a sample from JTK FC.

Post by: leavenember on Mon, 27 July 2020, 17:41:07: I like the colors and the novelties, but wish that some of the novelties were a bit thinner as i feel the thicker/bolder novelties don't balance well with the thinner stroke width on the rest of the caps.

Also, I think that the numrow can be simplified, as the redundant vowels don't really do much except clutter the top of the keyboard visually. For keys like brackets and <,>,? it would be nice to have the extra legends should be shown on the keycap as they are less used, but with the numrow the repeated legends don't provide much extra information.

Red is a no for me. The dark grey would be fine. I feel you're attempting to add some 'pop' but maybe try a blue or green or purple? Red has been known to have certain effects on us as a species, as do most colors. I sincerely wish you good luck and hope this hits it big, even if the red is ultimately used. :thumb:

I agree that lower contrast sublegends would be an amazing idea since JTK is tripleshot. I really hope that future designs take that into consideration as well

It might cost more to the Latin alphas kit, but it may also boost the sale since if you can cover two boards with this additional alpha kit, I will definitely get it.

Especially since they come with the base kit that has the hiragana on them by default. Is it possible to get ISO UK keys with hiragana on them separately, or even better as part of the base kit? I'm sure it's just an oversight in the renderings, but that's been pointed out since day 1 and zero acknowledgement from JTK in almost 3 months. Quite disappointing.

The darker sublegends suggested looks really good.

I hope to pick up a set regardless if these changes are implemented, but I do think the compatibility for 65/75% is most important.

I was able to get in touch with rifen through someone else at CMM.Studio and it appears that he did raise this concern already with JTK. The issue is that JTK simply does not have the moulds to carry out this process and I think JTK would expect rifen to pay for these moulds himself so unfortunately nothing can be done about it. This is how I understand the situation anyway.

I never ask designer to pay for anything sir. I just share profit with them.

we add so many pgup and pgdn(all cover R1~R4) into this set. For the 1.5u backcpase, we add legends "backspace " too, but this set uses icon modifier, so it will still use the old key.

For the design, it depends ont the designers, not me sir.

Per the OP (quote below), this set will be JTK's CA profile. CA = Cherry profile, same as what GMK uses. Small details might vary between manufacturers (surface texture, edge breaks, etc.) so they may not be exactly the same as GMK's. JTK also makes HSA profile = "Half-height SA." I've labeled JKT's pictures:

Wait, ****, for real?? I hadn’t even noticed this. I remap basically every board I have to have control instead of caps lock. I realize it would just be the wrong cap, but that is going to bother me SO much. Definitely can’t put it in my HHKB style boards then with no Fn key either. Sad....

You can still use “end” on the same row, or 1u “alt”/“ctrl”/“super” which is basically same profile

thank you for confirming. I had JTK WoB and it had HHKB compatibility, so I assumed this would as well. I love this set's colors, but what a massive bummer - can still get around it by using novelties for ctrl / fn, but ideally I would've been able to do it with the base alone. ty!
