Looking very nice and clean, what sort of pricing can we expect?

We're working on the pricing and will update when we come to a final decision~
Please keep in mind the EVA foam used is very high quality material. It doesn't mean it's going to be ridiculous overpricing but we're trying to price these as fair as possible so please do not worry!
Here are just a few fun facts about EVA foam!
-It's nearly indestructible
-Flexible but always able to retain it's original shape
-VERY Dense and durable.
-Low water absorption and extremely easy to clean
A killer feature for these would be indefinite availability.
Like we'd buy a couple now, acquire another keycap set in 12 months, try to buy another box then only to find out that they are no longer available.

would these be available to order in conjunction with your bumble bee group buy?

If our shipping estimates are right, the boxes should be available to add onto your shipment of the Bumble Bee Group Buy.
Any update on these?

They should be arriving within the next week or two or in the worst case scenario, available when the bumblebee keysets are done(approximately 1 month)

Any idea what you think you might sell them for?
Are there other Europeans interested in this? Might be worth it to proxy it ;)I would be.
are there enough spots for 2 60% keyboards in one pack? the second layer has ALOT more space than necessary for a 104.

The price should be around $10-$15.
Importing the boxes overseas was quite expensive...
The boxes are definitely on their way. It just requires patience for now.
Hey Keypop and eta of when these will be available on the site?

Tomorrow :]
Our mistake...
I completely forgot that our display boards are not ready yet.
We discovered that our first shipment only contained the bottom slab of the display box.
We are still waiting for the top slab shipments to come.
It should be no longer than another 2 weeks. Sorry about that!
Do you guys know the price? :)$9.99

We've honestly given it a lot of thought. EVA Foam is not cheap and the boxes are incredibly of high quality(especially when it comes to robustness and thickness) compared to other keyboard boxes I've compared to.
We aren't receiving much profit from each box so please be understanding. You are paying for true quality.
We may have to increase the price later on in the future but we promise the price will be $9.99 as an introductory promotional(possibly permanent) price.
I'm sorry for the mistake earlier. It's been an incredibly crazy week for us. We had to sort over 30,000 keycaps and ship out all the pre-orders.

what kind of shipping prices do you think there will be with the storage boxes?
any updates?
We've received an unexpected amount of orders :S.I posted it in the great finds section. That probably helped a bit :)
Our first trial sale was for 50 keycap boxes and now there are only 13 left no less than an hour after we sent out the newsletter.

Oh wow, all gone before I could order some. Sucks to be on EU time sometimes - I just got up :(
Any ETA on the next batch?

Thanks! Good to know ;)
Since I can't put the item in the shopping cart right now to check:
How much is international shipping for these boards? How many boards can be shipped for the lowest price?
My two boxes arrived earlier this morning. I was assuming that the EVA foam had the cut outs already removed, but to my joy they are simply pre-cut and you can remove sections that you want. I also enjoy the adhesive behind primary layers for the backings. What took me a bit to figure out was how would you remove each layer if you could barely insert a finger to access the layers and not rustle up the keycaps. I naturally began to think sherryton/hazel's storage box idea of having a little tab so you can pull up each layer easily from top view is more ideal. But then I looked at the tab/slit area where you lock down the top of the case. The hole is large enough so you can see the bottom layer so you can easily push the bottom layer up and grab the top portion/layer that holds the alphas and modifiers. It makes sense and is more (I'm just assuming here) cost efficient rather than including a pull tab attached to each layer.
I didn't want to order more than 2 boxes since you guys are doing a demo run and wanted to give others a chance to grab some. If it's worth anything, I believe these boxes are excellent for the price. Looking forward to when you guys release the colored versions / larger quantity release. I'll be grabbing several more then. Great job guys!
Those sold out pretty fast.
When do you suppose you will be getting more of them in stock?
So is it $2 more because you were losing money? Or did you add $2 because they sold so fast it makes sense to charge more? From what I can see, it was simply a promotional price for the first batch. Think of it as the early bird special if you will. Those who are subscribed to the newsletter got first pick at the boxes at a lower price for the first round of production. In the original newsletter, it was even stated that the $10 was just a promotional price.
Is there a reason you increased the price for these cases?
I know it's high quality and everything, but now I feel kinda "cheated" for not getting into the first batch for no particular reason other than being asleep while it was offered.
At these prices plus shipping it's really hard to justify a purchase for international buyers :(
Maybe I wait for the colored ones hoping they will be offered for 10$ again ;)
We only had 200 boxes total and the promotional price was barely getting us much profit after paypal fees/shipping costs. I'm sorry you feel cheated. We just couldn't afford to continue selling the boxes at that price. We figured the first 50 would be plenty for anyone whether international or domestic and we didn't expect them to sell out so quickly.

Got mine today!
They're nice. I'll have to wait for some better sets to put in there but in the meantime I have my old Keycool stock caps in one of them.
Does anybody want to see some pictures?
I forgot you love keyboard-related porn around here. :PGot mine today! You need to ask that around here? ;)

I got mine today (international)! And then I promptly filled four of them!
Mini-review:
-- These are really nice. High-quality cardboard & foam. Shipped quickly & as cheaply as possible.
-- The top layer is set up to hold the ESC thru F12 (and below) part of a standard ANSI layout... with one spot left over (novelty ESC?). The second layer has cutouts for the arrow/navigation block & numpad, plus cutouts for any extras you may have... Tsangan kit, stepped capslocks, ISO enter, etc. You shouldn't have trouble accommodating anything but the most extreme sets.
-- I recommend saving some of the smaller bits of cutout foam to fill gaps in the second layer (since you're less likely to fill it completely).
-- It's a bit tricky to get the caps in sometimes... they're held fairly securely by the foam at the top/bottom edges. But this means that they don't move around much, even if you shake the box.
Suggestions for improvements:
1. I'd probably go with a smooth surface on the "bottom" of each layer, rather than foam. (Or just a smooth surface stuck to the existing piece of foam.)
-- The foam makes it hard to "slide" keys along the rows (important when you're inserting them out of order).
-- I don't think this would affect the fit (currently nice & tight), but it might make it easier to put the caps in, since the edges of the caps wouldn't grip the bottom.
2. Add a couple of "handles" to make it easier to lift the top layer.
-- It need not be fancy; even something as simple as a tab of paper (with a sticky part to attach to the bottom of the top layer) for each side.
-- An alternative might be to cut a couple of small notches along the side of the top layer... just enough to get your fingers into to allow you to lift the layer.
3. Add something to cover the top layer...
-- There's currently a small gap between the top layer and the top of the box when closed... i.e., the box is just slightly too tall.
-- Could be easily filled with a loose piece of foam or corrugated cardboard.
-- If your keys are shaken around, a few of them can come loose (most are OK... the fit is pretty tight, as I mentioned).
-- I think none of them would come loose with something to fill this gap. Or at least there'd be nowhere for them to go... :)
These are all pretty minor... hard to improve much on what is already a terrific product!
Bottom-line: I heartily recommend these to anyone who has a bunch of complete sets and wants to store them in something better than a ziplock (and at a reasonable price).
Hey, got my boxes yday. absolutely love them.
Just one thing though, I ordered 3 boxes. 2 of them had two different Display inserts, however the third one had 2 identical ones. Whatsup with that? How am I going to store my ISO :-\

Yeah, really like them so far. So much so that I ordered another 6!
I'm beginning to think that keycaps breed & multiply when you're not looking. :)
just got my set of 3 and assembled one. I actually didn't realize assembly was needed, but it's a minor concern at best; literally, punch out + squeeze together.
these things are great; If I had to say anything, they should be made less tight (the foam is too tight against the sides of the box), the box is oddly hard to actually open and it always feels like i'm going to rip the thing in half. As well, it'd be great to see the letters printed in the correct places for all the standard 104 keys. I think having some themed boxes would be great as well; a satin black box (or w/e ducky does with theirs) with orange foam inserts would look as classy and geekhacky as hell.
the punchouts feel like they would make good packing material (it's always funny seeing shipping materials and boxes being shipped in other packing material).
let's be clear, I said a bunch of stuff, but that was cause I felt like using my keyboard today; for the price keypop is offering, they're a great buy as it is.
