TaikoHub Dactyl Manuform Review
« on: Mon, 14 April 2025, 17:50:56 »
Hey Geekhackers,
I usually just lurk but I wanted to share this. It's my first review so hope you guys like it.

I got this keyboard a month or so ago from taikohub.com. It's my second dactyl manuform.

Features:
  • Hotswappable
  • Able to switch microcontroller from the stock Arduino Pro Micros to nice!nanos and other compatible microcontrollers.

Specs
  • Wrist angle is about 40%
  • Height 5cm, length 15cm, width 14cm
  • Connects to PC via USB-C
  • Keyboard pieces are connected via TRS cord

The keyboard is hotswappable and came with Gateron browns but I swapped them for Gateron yellows.

The appearance is really nice. The top case is a smooth matted resin. When I touch it, it almost feels soft. The bottom plate is hard plastic. As a nice touch, each bottom plate has a door you can open to replace the microcontroller.

You're able to switch the keyboard's Arduino Pro Micros for nice!nanos to enable wireless Bluetooth. I did this with my old dactyl keyboard but haven't gotten to this one.

Overall, it's very comfortable. The quality is excellent.
