Do we have any way to try to get in touch with weaston and/or his family? Just to make sure everything is ok? Has anyone ever met him IRL? At a meetup? This is getting pretty ridiculous. Failing that, at what point to we work harder to start forcing the issue? He used shopify to take the payments, so they must have some contact information for him. I'm fine to continue waiting and recognize that GBs are "at risk". I've got ~$700 (2 boards, extra pcbs and plates) tied up in this which isn't nothing. I'm not ready to give up on this yet. I really hope weaston's ok, but I also really hope there's a good reason that we haven't heard anything. Trying hard not to be "that guy" (and if you want to turn me into that, fine, I have thick skin, but I hope you see that I'm trying here). We're at 18mo now and we've all been, by and large, very patient and understanding. I'm sure most of us think weaston is a good guy and intends to see this through. Just asking for an update and maybe an ETA — that's all.

I can understand why no communication might be better than some communication (it depends but sometimes it's better for your customers to feel unhappy over no communication than over things that have gone wrong) but yeah at this point just knowing he is at least alive and well will help us cope a bit.

While not a great way to pursue some kind of resolution in this, sharing information that is part of the public record (LLC information is the public record) is solidly NOT doxxing.

I'm also a part of this group buy and I am quite curious as to what the hold up is. I'm sure I'm reiterating questions that have already been asked, but if everything is in-hand (ano units, PCBs, o-rings, bump-ons? ) aside from cerakoted units, why haven't those orders that can be fulfilled been fulfilled?

Perhaps there were more issues that came up in QC. Obviously that would mean we've been kept in the dark about some unknown issue but at this point I'm sort of at a loss as to what the main issue could be.

This is off topic, but is Ogre kind of a cousin to GSKT-00, which is kind of an homage to OTD 356 mini?

This is off topic, but is Ogre kind of a cousin to GSKT-00, which is kind of an homage to OTD 356 mini?

All three boards are similar in the fact that they use a gummy worm mount and have tabs on the plate (i.e. not like the Unikorn). I'd say the GSKT-00 and 356 mini are the two closest related. Design wise they are very similar, except the GSKT-00 doesn't have a weight.

The Ogre is fairly different in the fact that it is seamless and uses a USB-C daughterboard.

I haven't used an Ogre before, but from what I have heard, the GSKT-00 is the softest typing of the three (Ogre and 356 mini are on the stiffer side).

But yes, they are all similar to each other, but different than boards like the Unikorn and Bakeneko60.
