A little orange can't hurt. I understand why you would avoid all white backgrounds, I do that as well.I find your theme too complicatedYou're just a goth kid, what do you know!?

haha.. I think I've already ripped out as many elements as possible with my current skinning.. which is applied to every interface on my pc.. not just gh..
Ppreciate the offer though...
though, that's not to say... if you can truly come up with a theme that's even DARKER or less straining than mine.. That'd still be awesome..

ooo.. this color scheme would be good for low stress morning use.. Will try in the morning to fully test it out.Sounds good, let me know how you like it after you've tested it out. Tip: All images are grey until you hover over them - for minimum eye strain.
Heh you kids and your fancy GUIs :p

I like it. But do we REALLY need that big-ass key cap at the top?
I remember aggiejy had a minimalistic GH theme that I liked a lot.
Heh you kids and your fancy GUIs :pThis post inspired me to install lynx.

I would think that hard black would be hard for your eyes as well, but that's maybe just because I find it ugly.ooo.. this color scheme would be good for low stress morning use.. Gave the Grey theme a thorough run today..
I would say it works just fine for daytime use.. and of course still better than black on white..
But now that the day has gotten darker.. the grey is still not as relaxing as black...
I'll admit my priorities are very different from the typical user.. So in that way.. Your Grey theme is a Great-Choice for the Users who wants to get away from black-on-white...
all-n-all, good stuff..Show Image(http://emoticoner.com/files/emoticons/onion-head/happy-onion-head-emoticon.gif?1292862507)
Another suggestion, if I may. By clicking the top right arrow, the profile photo can be hidden or shown. It would be better if I could hide the geekhack title together with the profile. That way, I save some screen real estate and can see more post/thread if I choose to do so.I'm afraid I can't do that, I'm only allowed to fiddle with the CSS and adding a custom toggle mode would require some scripting.
Oh I see. Then I guess leave it. It's already pretty damn good!
Did anybody get this to work in Firefox? I tried to install it via the "Install as userscript" button and Greasemonkey but it didn't work.I tried to convert it into a stylish theme as well but It didn't work, here's the code if you want to try an implement it yourself.

Is it too much to ask for a white theme V2.0, Frenir? That seemed to be a lot of users according to the forum layout settings page.Sure, I'm working on it - I hope to have it up tomorrow at latest.
Thanks Frenir!! I gotta dump Safari and use Chrome (in the work Mac) because of this. That's very flattering, thank you ;D

And I like how the name is green if we are online. It's just so nice!
Just got around to trying this and I can't thank you enough Frenir! It's awesome!!!

Nice user style Frenir! :thumb:Hmm... Interesting, I really like this idea but I hesitate to add it to the theme for everyone - I think it should be a feature to turn off nested quotes on site in general.
After hoping it would be picked up as a feature, I ended up making a userstyle that hides nested quotes, as they are literally evil ;)
Went from this default quote monstrosity:

To the way it should be™:

Just noticed there is no search box in the upper right corner. Really needs to be one, as it's useful for searching within whatever context one is in (thread/sub-forum/forum).Oh ok, I didn't know that it worked that way, I thought it was redundant since there's a search link in the menu.

I'll see what I can do.
Edit: Should work now, just hover over the right corner to make the search bar appear, after you've re-installed the theme ofc.
