Keyboard of the Month - April - Vote!
« on: Mon, 02 May 2016, 21:02:18 »
Delayed as always, here is the poll for April's Keyboard of the Month.

This month's nominees are:

Mad_Maxx's CopperDog 65% build

Mad_Maxx's build log can be found here

Second is dgneo's HHKB

And thirdly is Glod's GON Nerd60 HHKB rebuild

More pictures can be found here!

We have a true eclectic mix of boards this month, giving a great snapshot of the forum's tastes right now. The vote will run for one week! Good luck to all!

Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Aesthetically, I'm pretty indifferent this month, nothing here that really catches my eye. But I think outside of that, one board definitely deserves the vote...

Much voted.  Difficult to start with, but became clear upon closer inspection.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I can see the way the votes are playing out, but I can't see who voted for what because I didn't tick a box... No big deal though :)

Congrats Mad_Maxx! Love that copper

Thanks everyone!

I was hoping to have some good pics of the completed board by now, but it looks like that isn't going to be able to happen anytime soon, so here's something at least a little more representative!
