Hey absyrd
Y U SO ABSYRD
Good stuff here. Is "Withstand" done in oil/acrylic?
And I love line drawings so your second piece is awesome. Looks a bit digitized?
Here are some of my work:

Going to print these so if anyone's up for a poster head over to the IC thread (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=71971.0).

Process sketch of another illustration for the same magazine...
Acrylic.
Alot of my sketches I just photocopy then scan.
And I love both your illustrations. Is that infinity cow something you came up with? Is it an old proverb that you came up with a design for?
That car situation with all those kids... I'm having a panic attack just looking at it.

oh damn
here's a little painting/drawing I did last summer. nothing too crazy, just experimenting with oil paints for the first time.

Oils are fun and forgiving. I love how you can layer and layer and mix and blend without waiting on drying like most acrylic work (at least for me). So much more depth.
Why'd you only do half? Just as a test to see if you liked the result of just drawing better?
Just something goofy I did one time.

Goofy how? That'd make a great print with many different methods. I'd do a huge linocut of it and you could even layer semi-transparent inks and spin it to make some nutso patterns.
I try and try to do orderly **** like this, and I just obsess too much and it ends up sucking.

I was never good with watercolors. What is that paper?? Just a paper towel? Does that help get those effects?

Something I actually enjoyed doing lol.
Were you under the influence of anything other than just the power of his words? ;)
Sometimes I get board and work on desktop backgrounds:

What are those going to be used for? I don't even know where to start looking. Haha. Some kind of technical drawing? Or just your way of doing an artsy representation? What do you do IRL?
I did a ****ty_Watercolour Mona Lisa for my art GCSE
(http://i.imgur.com/lslVCaq.jpg) (http://i.imgur.com/lslVCaq.jpg)
I think it is Stewie Lisa. Some "street artist" did a Mona Simpson or something and sold like a million prints of it, iirc.
Not really artwork, but more graphic stuff - but I always scribble first with pen and paper.

Oh... and this def qualifies as artwork. Digital design is something I have never touched but would love to learn.

Jack of all trades, eh?
That metal sculpture is really making me want to take a metalworking class at the community college near me. Not that I could do something like that, but it is so dope and inspiring.
I've been trying my hand at digital environment painting. It's hard, but I wanna practice digitally, since next year I'm taking an oil painting class where we do lots of landscapes :-l

Digital will not help you at all with oil. With oil you always have to work against the opacity and pigment behavior of your paints.

Yeah, I figured, but since I don't have any oil paints yet, some practice is better than no practice! :thumb:

Despite it not being good practice for oils, it is still nice.
