Is pricing a dead Dell AT101 (spilled soda on it) or it's keycaps at $10 good?
Possible at all that I could get more?

How much should I price the harvested working switches for (black alps, not sure if complicated or not)?

Anyone?

If spilling soda on it killed it then how are the switches still good?  Did you magically only spill on the controller or something?

To be honest I don't really know how PCBs or switches work, so I just assumed that some of the switches were good if the soda did not hit them.

I always say $0.50 per switch is a fair price for used switches.

Hi everyone ;)
I have a ducky shine 2 78version. I am pending on sell it, but I don't know how much should it be.
It bought form tigerimports.net in 03-06-2013.  When I bought it, it is $147.
It is 80% new, I have used it for 3 months.
"1"key in row4 is not smooth on the top(like some sand on the keycap, not in the switch), but the whole keyboard work well.
All of the stuff that come with the keyboard is include except the key chain.(A ducky key cap puller, red wasd key cap, a ducky USB cable(one end is mini usband one end is regular male usb), and a ducky magic tap.)
It also come with the original case, but it is a little bit broken.
So how much should it be? ;)

It's probably because of the full size :(  You might find some buyers on other sites, where people are not as much in "the tinier the better" clubs :)

I'm thinking of selling my 6GV2 with MX Blacks for spares.

Hopefully going to be upgrading it to something with Reds but i don't want this to go to waste.

Think it'd be better just to sell them as switches? If i learn how to desolder them etc.

If you're happy with the board and just want something with reds you could just swap the springs for some 62g springs from originativeco.com. These are very similar to springs from reds and would be practically exactly the same. The would involve desoldering and resoldering but would probably work out much, much cheaper than buying a new board.

There's no point buying soldering equipment so you can sell the blacks - you wouldn't get very much for them.

TL;DR sell the board or swap the springs. Don't desolder and sell the switches.

Yea, i was thinking about swapping the springs. It'd be a learning process for sure. However, i'll be looking to replace it anyways. No need for full size board :)

Thanks for the input though!

Maybe you can explain what you mean "It also come with the original case, but it is a little bit broken." first? If it is damaged the value is effected quite a lot. If it is not damage really, then I suspect you can probably get at least what you paid it for since Ducky 78 was limited edition and seem to be out of stock just about everywhere.

Oh just the display box, probably not a huge deal to most people, shouldn't effect the value really. So like I said before you should probably be able to break even on the Ducky 78 or pretty close to it since it was a limited edition.

QFR with blues, with replacement black case, keycapsless (or including keycaps, but some are quite shiny and worn, so I thought it might be best to not include them)
KBT pure with reds, also keycapless (PBT, so it's not shiny, but the letters are really worn since they're pad printed, again, not sure if I should include them)

Thanks!

I'm going to sell a few keyboards to raise money for yet more keyboards. I want to list these, but I don't know what they're worth. I washed all of these in a bucket of simple green overnight, and spritzed the electronic ones with a bit of de-oxit just to be sure, so they're devoid of cracker crumbs and the plague.

1) A Unicomp 104-key buckling spring USB keyboard, in matte black with grey keycaps. It's in pristine condition, almost unused; I never got to use it much because I kept waking the family up at 2:00 in the morning. :/ No packaging with this one, just the keyboard.

2) A black Happy Hacking Keyboard Professional, with topre capacitative switches. Comes with all original packaging, documentation, and removable USB cable. I used it for about a year before switching back to larger keyboards, so it has some minor signs of use, but functions perfectly and has no noticeable defects.

3) An IBM Model M for terminals. Part No: 1392595, I.D. No: 5213912, Date: 02-07-92 (!), Plt No: F7; Model M. No original packaging, just a brown box. This thing has a connector that looks more like an old telephone line than any modern digital connector, and has a plethora of strange, antiquated keys that only make an inkling of sense to me through using emacs for too long. More of a historical oddity than a usable keyboard, though I suspect some brave, atavastic soul willing to sauter the connection and write his own drivers the way they did in ye olde CompSci could make it usable with a modern computer. Also good for salvage, if you'd rather have a "Reset" or "Send" key instead of an Alt, or if you'd like a "Jump" key to put where escape goes so you can pretend it deploys a parachute.

4) A Topre RealForce 104-key in very good condition. I've used this board for about a year, and it works as well today as it did when I bought it. The only sign of use is some shiny texture on the spacebar where my thumbs rest. All original packaging and documentation.

I may not list all of these, depending on the price estimate. I won't be listing them on GH, because I don't have enough forum posts to make a classified ad. More likely, they'll be on eBay. I won't link any sales I make since it's probably against the rules.

Without pics and assuming it has a lot of usage (even though it doesn't look like it) $85-$115 depending on the condition? You can get em new for $150.

I've got a used Razer Blackwidow (retail at $99), with a little bit of shine on the space bar, and the cabling, near the termination point at the keyboard end, came twisted from the factory. Unfortunately, I play in a recliner with keyboard in my lap, so after about 5 months lifting it to my lap and placing it back, the twist turned into a short. About once every two days, bending the cable the wrong end near the base, I get a BSOD.

Definitely a cable issue, and an absolutely great keyboard otherwise.

As far as the razor goes you might be better off either selling it on Ebay or harvesting the switches, stabilizers, and maybe keycaps and selling them all separate. You could even sell the LED's...

As far as the mouse goes I would try either the Logitech G400, G400s, Razer Deathadder, CM Storm Spawn, or Logitech G500. I personally use the Logitech G400s and LOVE IT!!!! It may be optical but it has no built in acceleration which makes it awesome for gaming. I also use trackballs but we won't go to far into that. ;)
