Oh, u know..  Once you've been round the internet long enough,  You can sense people's aura-type around their alias..

This is also where monitor calibration comes in handy.. so we get an accurate reproduction..

Few days ago I had baked tilapia and freshly baked (air fried whatev) plantain chips. Though plantain chips were obviously delicious, the tilapia was kinda meh.

I don't know--to me tilapia just tastes like someone started with a cat fish, flatted it, and stripped away all the gamey flavor that I've grown to love. Sad.

Yes, I believe that is what I already said. Although, I've only had lake/pond cat fish, so I haven't a clue as to the taste of river cat fish.

Oscars are for aquariums. I don't think that they are a good fish for eating.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

Ah, that would explain it. When I was about 10 (95') and my older brother was post grad age, he had several Oscars and Pacus in a 100gal tank. They certainly didn't look appetizing.

I wish I liked the taste of fish! Made guac tonight for the first time in a long time. Alton Brown's recipe but 4 cloves of garlic instead of one and + 1/2 teaspoon of TB fire sauce  :p

How was the tilapia seasoned??

Toss the fillets in olive oil, then hit them with paprika, garlic and onion seasonings (or some old bay if that's your jam) let that marinate for a few then broil with some parmesan on top and a dash of lemon juice to make it pop.

Pretty much this but with plain Panko instead of parmesan. I guess I'm just not a fan of plain tasting fish.

No thanks!

Olives are basically the evil twin of the grape. They are grapes that have no moral fibre and are therefore easy prey for the devilm who then makes them salty, bitter and a bit rubbery – and he does it for fun.

makes them salty, bitter and a bit rubbery

The salty, bitter, rubbery, dry-cured ones are the best, but pretty much all olives are great - truly one of the quintessential foods.

Spend a few extra doll hairs and get a decent olive oil. Or, keep a dollar store plastic bottle of olive oil around for when you need a quick acting emetic.

On occasion when fishing, I would find a large quantity of turtle shells near the boat dock landing--the idea of turtle soup literally causes me to exfoliate my lunch. Those poor red-eared sliders :(

Beans with an egg dropped in with a side of kimchi.

Also a sprinkle of cheese, bacon bits, salt, pepper, sriracha sauce and a creamy garlic hot sauce. Not pictured is the green onion I almost forgot to add.

Pollock and potato mash.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Huh, I pictured you as a mid westerner for some reason. California?  TIL that analog tv is still a thing in north america.

Yea..  even picks up this taiwanese channel which plays propoganda nonstop from the newyork direction.

Got a few recipe's I've whipped up over the years.

Take two boneless, skinless chicken breasts, and marinate them for a long time (several hours at least) in a mixture of 2 parts water, 1 part lemon juice, sprinkled with black pepper, thyme, oregano and basil as you do so. Bake over rice. Delicious, but be careful: the lemon flavor can get really strong if you marinate it too long. This right here is probably my best recipe, but I haven't made it in years.

We also have a number of Julia Child-style "cheapout" recipes. Goulash = ground beef (as lean as you can get it), browned with chili seasoning, mixed with either shell noodles or rotini and tomato soup. Not the healthiest, but good on a tight budget.

Also, "Pork Chop Savoy," which really isn't pork chop savoy. Take a few boneless pork chops (or bone in, doesn't matter), brown them, immerse them in cream of mushroom soup and bake. Pair with mashed potatoes and some other vegetable (we typically use green beans), the soup makes a good gravy for both the meat and potatoes.

Most deadly of them all.

Having a toasted sandwich for breakfast:
Slice of toast
Squirt of American mustard
Half of a meat pattie (cut down the length)
Slice of cheese
Other half of the meat pattie
Fried egg
Topped off with another slice of toast with American mustard

Leftovers FTW

Harvest Snaps Tomato Basil. They (the snaps) remind me of the freeze dried green things in Publix veggie snackums but like 1/3 the price.
