Hoping that someone can give me some insight on these two keycap sets. Haven't seen them for a while on r/mm, and am turning to Geekhack for some help:

SP SA Nantucket Selectric R1: TKL base + homing pack + Specialty add on + Cape Cod add on + Amity Island add on. Additional/Separately purchased keys: The ortho blanks and red spacebar were ordered separately from SP to match the kit. Set also includes a Clueboard esc novelty. Bought these for $400usd. I can consider selling it without the ortho blanks for cheaper (not sure that will make a difference though).

I bought one in the low-$100 range several years ago and transplanted orange Alps into it.

They are not easy to find, if you want one you might consider paying up to $200, maybe more.

It appears while taking my hiatus the prices of second-hand customs have skyrocketed. Looking for a fair price range on Kingsavers. I've seen recent ones on /r/mechmarket go for 700-1200. To me, anything past 750 is a bit ridiculous as I have never even spent more than 1000 on an OTD board a couple years ago.

Thanks for the help. I've lost all desire to accumulate a collection of keyboards as I typically always settle typing on one board for an extended period of time. For the longest time, I've just wanted to experience a well-built alps board. I'm a bit hesitant to invest that much on a board that I do not know whether or not I will enjoy it. I have too many expensive hobbies.

Got super lucky (hopefully) and found a '94 and 2000 Model M for $20 for both (well, $40 after shipping...). They have all the keys, cables (phone-style plug, can't remember what it's called), and besides being dirty and slightly yellowed and one having some relatively minor case damage, they appear to be in good shape.

Assuming I cleaned them up and they work fine (they should, according to the seller anyway), how much could I get for them? I'm in Canada (though the prices I said earlier were in USD, since I bought them from US Ebay). Hell, would someone on here be willing to trade me for...something? Thanks!

I would like to build my own 60% and I have three model m's laying around that I cleaned up and thought of selling them to use the money on a new build. It seems as though the prices vary on these boards a lot, so I thought I would try and get a value on mine.

I've two NOS IBM SSK's, both sealed, though I opened one for pictures today

Both are in the original IBM boxes, and are from a local electronics warehouse raid a few years ago.

Note that one the one I opened has not and will not be tested. It is new/opened only for pictures and will remain so. Also full disclosure - there was a single plastic rivet that was inside the keyboard. While that shouldn't surprise anyone here, I just wanted to be up front. I've no plans on opening that new keyboard unless the consensus is that it would help to better sell.

i think i saw one on mechmarket sell for 750 but wanted to see what others thought the price was?

I'd personally say box is irrelevant if it's not the original box or not in good shape (or the keyboard isn't new/barely used), but the board is worth quite a bit. I'd say at least $400 but that might be too low or possibly too high, idk.

That was another concern I had, if it was a replacement case model, or not.

I think with my research yesterday and my responses here, I'll be giving it a pass. One day though I'll have an Industrial M. That'd be neat.

Good point. I assumed it was an early IBM one and in good shape. If that was the case I think it would be worth $400 but I still might be wrong lol
