Greens would be great. I find Blues to be way too light to use. I would only buy a TKL, though.

Purples sound mighty fine as well.  :p

Not to piss on carter's parade or anything, but Ducky's G2Pro Greens is coming out soon too in limited quantities.

No one's pissing at anything, this is an open forum, and an open-thread. Nothing specific in here, besides the fact that we're all discussing about a possible Cherry MX Green keyboard.

Anyway, what's the prediction about the price tag of that thing when (or if) it hit the shelves on America and Europe?

Or better yet, any supplier with international shipping?

Carter works for Coolster Master...

The price is about USD $120 or so for that G2pro board. So I'd imagine ~130-140 over the pond. Did ShakeR say they would get any? They shipped Shine2 87k before even Taiwanese stores. So I would think they'd get their hands on it.

Yeah, we all know that, but even still there's no censorship of any sort in here.

Hmm... The price tag ain't bad at all...

Whoever gets a full 104 Green MX keyboard first is going to have my money!

FYI:  Tigerimports.net emailed me back and said they were getting the DK9087 G2 Pro 87-key version in this week.  I was asking about the MX Greens but he didn't specify what switches he'll be getting.  I don't want an 87 key version, but if anyone else is interested, you may want to contact them.  He might be waiting for the keyboards to come in and see how many of each switch type he gets before announcing it.

That website above already has the multi-switch Green and Blue MX version out:

Whoah... looks nice.

Wonder how many will buy the keyboard to use as is, and how many will buy one just to harvest the switches.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Interesting if they will actually offer an MX Green board. keep in mind it would likely be cheaper than the Ducky because the Ducky has PBT caps.

I am personally more interested in a TKL MX Purple(ergo-clear) board. From my understanding, they are like more tactile versions of MX browns. Sounds good to me. Especially when there is a huge MX brown shortage on the way.

I hope so.  I think there may be a little dip in availability, but with more and more unusual switches coming out on fairly mainstream boards it'll compensate a bit.

Now this talk about bacon is making me hungry.  Where did I put that Halloween candy?....

I'm pretty sure I remember Carter never saying one way or the other what model it was he was typing on... on the other hand it's not necessarily that model since they can easily proto any model with greens and then decide later to do a completely different model for production.

So yeah, CM Storm KB w/ greens in an as yet un-named model.

I looked the Rapoo up and apparently they are bootleg Cherry Mx switches. The are supposedly linear switches that are heavier than Reds and lighter that Blacks. Interesting.

Still curious if anyone is going to make an MX Purple/Pink/Magenta board....

creative bunch in this crowd. all i said was green

So ... an environmentally friendly manufacturing process?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
