Sorry I didn't notice that. If it were me... I would probably just go to work on it with a file to fix it.

ALSO:
I found a pair of feet under the sofa while I was cleaning up. I only assume it fell out of a box while I was packing it up. So... I have no idea who those would belong to so please let me know.

i found a tmk fork for this

https://github.com/kairyu/tmk_keyboard_custom/tree/master/keyboard/RedScarfIII

all i need is for someone to tell me how to get this to go into program mode bootloader, i dont see a button on it.

edit: it doesnt look like the button was soldered on LOL, looks like i have to bridge it with a wire.

Looking good!  It was a blessing in disguise with your wonky plate.  You would of had clearance issues with the bent spacebar wire.  At least I had issues when I tried to use a 6.25u wire from a Cherry board.  Luckily, I did a test fit before I put it together/soldering and noticed it hitting.

Yeah this 6.25 wire was already made i had in my stab pile, i think it came from a poker, i could have made a new wire if there was clearance issues, i have some hobby wire i've used to make 7x wires, but I have very little spare time anymore and if i rush making a stab wire I could lose an eye, its a violent process to hand make them.

Glod:
There has been some awesome work done on documentation and translation in the thread here: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=69282.0

Including a PDF on flashing.

cool, I will give it a try

edit: this actually looks more complicated than just doing it the normal TMK process, maybe i am wrong....it just seems like it

Its not that hard, i'm pretty new to programming keyboards but figured it out.

The only thing i've not been able to do is figure out how to control backlighting via FN keys. I know its possible, ( stock firmware does it ) i just cant get it to work for me

Also, you'll probably want to put something under your pcb, mine ( plateless ) has a lot of flex it in.

HEhehe... Yeah I put on the feet on all the orders (except those who wanted none), but a few people ordered more than one set of feet, I guess for a different look? Either I missed getting a set in somewhere or I was sent too many?

Making choices to how I want to build it is so hard! I can't decide what switch type I want to put on (Cherry MX or Gateron?), or in which layout I want to build it. I kind of want to build it in modified ISO... but then I will be pretty much stuck with which cap sets I can use.

:)

edit: btw Jixr i took your advice and put something behind the pcb, placed stick-on rubber feet, the perfect height on the floor of the case all over, squishy to conform, no bend at all in pcb :)

yeah i did the same thing, not quite as solid as i'd like, but it cuts the flex by a good bit. Though I do have a plate coming for this eventually, hopefully that will beefen it up.

i put like 12 of them in there, without being squished they are slightly taller than the standoffs, this keyboard is the most solid PCB mount board i have ever used, I've had plate mount boards flex more than this one and you really have to press down hard for it to flex

And the gateron blacks feel fantastic with GMK. very smooth switches. this is one of my favorite boards out of 20 or so i own (lol), even with the cheaper quality from china (racist?). thanks ivan

Finally got mine built.

PCB could be thicker... but otherwise has some nice, thoughtful touches.  Acrylic case is really nice--I like it a lot.  Bezel is bad, and I'll be thinking about making something to replace it.

The software is awesome.  The keymap generator with the TMK and the LUFA print-loader is brilliant.  It compelled me to do some firmware customization of my own... so now I have a broken keyboard.  Oh well... time to see if I can fix this.
