So I just finished my first stickering, lubing, ergo-clear mod...

Wow, immediately after lubing I didn't notice a difference, but as time goes on I can totally tell a difference with the lube.  Not sure that the stickering really did anything, but it looks nice.  Also ergo-clears feel great.  Hopefully my A.87 and GON case will be here when I get home from vacation so I can assemble!

What spring weight? I quite like my 62g clear board, but the only clears I've ever used are stock and 62g.

To lube them I put them in a plastic baggie, squirted in some victorionox oil, then blew air in the bag and shook it.  Worked pretty nice.

I can feel a pretty big difference just from messing with the naked switches.  Can't wait to put them in.

I haven't run any ABX tests or anything, but it seems to make a pretty big difference.

And I agree with MKULTRA that stickering doesn't really seem to affect the feel of the keys on the board (but I also agree that it looks nice).

Yeah, but in reality they don't do jack **** aside from looking nice.

I also found lube takes some breaking in. At first the difference was negligible, but after a few days you could really feel a difference.

Lubed clears are definitely much nicer.  I really wish I had the tools to do a proper force graph to show how much different it feels. I prefer 65g Ergo Clears to 62g, but both are nicer than stock Clears since you have an even more pronounced bump.

And I don't see why some people seem to be so vocal about stickering.  Who cares if it does nothing and most people don't see it.  You don't usually see the engine in a car, but manufacturers have been making those more aesthetically pleasing in the last few years.  I like knowing that when I pop my key caps off for a cleaning, to take pictures, for whatever, it will look cool with all those stickers.

No I lubed the sliders and housing.  Just took a shortcut on the springs

I also have a lubed 65g clears board. It really does make a big difference in feel once you lube the switches. You'll really feel the difference in smoothness once you put the switches on a board.
