"o" key doesn't react properly
«

I have a Filco Majestouch tenkeyless and since 2 days my "o" key won't recognize the "pressed state" all the time.
When I remove the "key" itself and press the mx brown switch it seems to work fine. I also changed the "o" ring already in the key (using red o-rings).
Any ideas?

Did you try it without the o-ring?

Could be a debouncing problem or maybe the contacts are dirty.

Is the o-ring seated all the way? If not then try pushing harder to set it in.

If the keyboard is still under warranty, consider exchanging it.
Or, if not, consider opening the case and shorting out the contacts under the O key to see if it registers reliably that way. if it does, then it could be a faulty switch.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Hmm I just asked thekeyboardco about warranty.
It sometimes feels like "o" is just lagging behind or not getting recognized.. e.g. "now" can end up being "nwo" or "nw".
Are there any guides/tutorials on how to open the switch ?
