Case finish

Among the desktop objects, Zoom TKL is relatively large. After the discussion of our team, it is unlikely that it should be taken out for business trips. Therefore, wear resistance is not the first consideration. This time, we will use nano-coating, it’s delicate and smooth. Please check the small-batch-production photos below.

Default Specs

* 80% with F13,WK

WKL and New PCB Timeline

We have been discussing with our engineers and also manufacturer partners about the WKL and extra PCB timeline. Since we are already producing current PCBs and also need 2-3 months to test the new designed PCB, we decide to arrange WKL and PCB to R2, which will be in Feb or March 2023. If you would love to have a WKL or later PCB version, you can wait till R2.

New PCB specifications

* WKL+WK

* wired+wireless

* 7U spacebar (south facing switch) +Tsangan bottom row

* ANSI+ISO

* Per Key RGB

* Step caps lock

* Hotswap

* Note: R1 PCB (with 6.25U spacebar) will still be available in R2

WKL Top case

There will be a WKL version as default version in R2.

WK/WKL plates

The plates will be compatible for both WK and WKL with above PCB.

Zoom TKL Assembled Edition (AE)

Zoom TKL AE Prototype Photos, six colors

Zoom TKL AE will add WS Doubleshot PBT Keycap and WS switches to the Zoom TKL EE with default PC plate and poron dampeners.

Zoom TKL AE has limited color and custom options but will be pre-built at with lubed switches and stabilizer. They are designed for user who don’t want to build a board but want an upgraded one from their normal mechanical keyboards. Thus, in order to make this available to more people, and also give a good price, we decided to launch this version to Kickstarter (Zoom TKL EE will still be available from Meletrix and vendors’ GB).

If you are interested in Zoom TKL AE please feel free to check more about it here.

as much as it pains me to say it, if this is only a little bit more expensive than the zoom it's going to be an incredibly good deal. looks very nice

Will the keyboard support ISO layout, and will it come with an option for WKL?

I'm not exactly sure what it is, but when I compare this to previous releases, it leaves something to be desired. Looking forward to more updates.

Excellent design. Please include carry case as part of the product instead of fancy designed package that will only get thrown out after the end users receive the product. Just a plain cardboard case is enough to wrap the carry case and the keyboard.

Layout
  • WK
  • Splits: 3 space bar splits, left and right shift splits[

If you're going to support split left shift, please also support ISO enter. ANSI users don't need split left shift by itself, so the only reason to have split LShift is for ISO. You need ISO enter support as well in that case.

The best thing about the Zoom65 was the ISO support, in my opinion. Please don't sacrifice that for the ZoomTKL. :)

Can you explain more about the bottom 'Glass Mirror' that has been listed? Is it glass that has been coated with a colour?

If the price is similar to the cn, this is an incredible deal. But this doesn't feel like an IC if the gb will happen in a few weeks.

This ticks everything I need in a board:
✓ 3-Split Spacebar (please make sure wireless supports this ❤)
✓ Split Shifts (ISANSI Layout goat!)
✓ Wireless
✓ TKL
✓ Hotswap

... and nearly everything I wish for:
✓ F13
✓ Small bazels
✓ Cherry 3000-like Chamfer on front
✗ Split Backspace
✗ ISO-Enter Support for the spouse
✗ per-key RGB
✗ Indicator Lights, including NumLock (for external Numpads) and wireless compatibility - QK65's below-the-keycap-design is guess-work with tour usual custom keycaps.

don't bother with ISO, give us the WKL option please or you'll miss out on the larger part of the market.

Don't bother with anyone who says you don't have to bother with ISO or you'll miss out on the smarter part of the market.  :p
