Whats so difficult to choose a color you like?  You offer lots of options to fit everybodies suits and people moaning about too many options. I dont get it.  :))

That's not the point. In theory more options are better because everybody get's his favorite color, but we are talking about reaching minimum order quantities so the sets get cheaper.

How are we supossed to hit 20 orders of the same color, if one orders light blue, the next one orders sky blue, the next one prefers royal blue, etc.?

As far as I understood current prices are "no moq" prices. You can have it cheaper by $10-20 when you reach a certain moq...thats true. But I think current prices are absolutely fine, considering all these options available.  :)

There's one design that has a hole behind of the casing if I'm not wrong, and another one that has it covered.

I love Matt Translucent Bluish Green - PLF 362 (my favorite color), but the price is definitely too steep for my budget.  I'd consider it for $70-ish shipped.

Interested to see how this would work with 3mm thick sheets as mentioned above. If the above pictures are of 6mm thick acrylic, then 3mm seems like it would be much too thin even with the bottom/body/top layer all assembled. Or maybe I am misunderstanding.

Basically it is just replacing a single 6mm with 2 x 3mm, technically the same thickness.

I have 3 questions:

Would the slice-up would be something more like this?

Do you by chance have any pictures of the 3mm-thick sheets assembled?

And lastly, if we order a clear case, would it be 6mm? Or will they all be 3mm?

Thanks!

Price quoted previously was for clear without feets! Not to worry, Price with quantity coming in real soon.

Thank you so much for the support.

We are still trying to figure out where to mount the detachable usb slot board. It will probably be at the feet but right now it is still in the midst of designing.

The colour codes that are starting with F are somehow not popular and the acrylic supplier isn't bringing much in, so it is disabled for now.

Yes with another layer on top as the top layer.

Pictures not up yet!

And lastly, if we order a clear case, would it be 6mm? Or will they all be 3mm?

I have ordered a sheet of 6mm for prototyping, so 6mm for the first few orders. Maybe we can go with 6mm for clears to make thing easier to manage with lesser pieces of acrylic.

Thanks!

Answered the question above in bold!

ok, so since you want to see people interests to possibly get a price reduction for multiple orders, here is what i am currently wanting to buy.

top and bottom layer: Glossy Translucent Toxic Green - PL 993 * 87KEY (W/OLED) (WINKEYLESS) (or matt toxic if that becomes an option again)
body: Glossy Opaque White - PL 402 (or) Matt Opaque White - PLF 402

One thing I'm curious about, is how the solid colours look for the middle sheet of the body, in the side pic you posted all the sheets are clear, how would it look (just so I know in my own mind) with a solid white body for example?

I do love the fact that this case is almost designed around being modded and changed with diffrent top and bottom layers, that's really ****ing cool!

How will Glossy Translucent Toxic Green - PL 993 look with a black body? Will it look darker because its translucent? How would it look with black? I think we need more pictures to help us order..

I have a few ideas for those concerned with the price.

Think back to the litster case:

If you order the top layer and bottom layer in the color you like, then order the body clear, you will save $20 and get a similar effect except for viewing from the side. Look at the two pictures above - although the middle layer is blood red, the case still looks pretty much black when there is a PCB in there. Order the clear feet - how often are you going to look at them? Maybe order a clear bottom layer too. It seems to me like the top and bottom are the most important layers.

Edit: Photos are from DanGWanG's blog in case it wasn't obvious. Credit where it's due.

Clear feet and clear body = $25 savings, so that makes the case $92. Sub-$100 custom case doesn't seem too bad IMO.
I understand that the point of ordering a custom case is to get exactly what you want. That said, I would be interested to see what would happen if the middle layer was standardized as clear 6mm thick, and top and bottom layers were honed in to maybe 1 transparent gloss / 1 opaque gloss per color.

any word on the closing date, time of invoicing, and production times? or any combination of the 3?

pretty much wanted to know how long i would have to decide out of this freaking awesome selection

Currently, It is all based on the whether the colours will make it because getting a whole sheet is a lot of burden to bear if we only use 10% of it.

The shipping estimate is based off a 450-500g which about 13 usd for economical shipping, roughly 2 weeks to reach the states.
Express shipment will cost quite a bit more but do let me know if you prefer that.

Rates can be confirmed at www.singpost.com, sending a few emails to those that placed an order form! Mostly good news :)

BUt not sure if I will be participating. You don't have anything that would fit a 104, would you? I just want to try modding a Rosewill 104 key.
Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

The blue group pictures I have looks horrible, some colours pretty far from the actual colours. Tried taking a different exposure, different light conditions, still the same issue.

Any specific colours you guys are looking at ? Because some of them looks accurate except for a few problematic shades of blue.

Will confirm the pricing of white colour sheets from the factory outlet asap.

I think you will like the PL 302 blue better,

I've sent out a couple of emails, because I am leaving for a 18 day europe trip on the 13th of july, I have some casing being procured right now, hope to get some of yours completed at around the same time.

I can do USD$50 for white body so long I have enough orders to buy more sheets for better pricing.
Just need roughly about 3-4 white matt body for usd$50 pricing :)
