Here is a teaser...

Nice! Love the Yellow stickers.

Ya the yellow stickers go great with the browns.

I think I will use pink stickers with my clears.

Where did you get your stickers?  When my Sprit and Viper arrive, I'd like to add stickers to my builds.

Acryl Case ! - All Laser & CNC machined    >>>  Allo!  :thumb:   Laser cut & Computer controlled Machined.     it's 2- or 3- Layered  as in the Fotos,  and 8mm Thick  or 10mm Thick Color Layers.  ;)
(Solid 8T & 10T Structure)

What is this top plate? A plate to match key layout, like HHKB's one? I also don't understand the difference between Model 1 and Model 2.
Quote
* Model 1 (70USD) / Model 2 (58USD + Top Plate Layer $22)  >>  Model 2 Cases are slim, 2- layered (cheaper)  & a Top Plate (this switch plate & Top layer supports layouts like HHKB)  You are Absolutely Right !  :thumb:   * Model 2 cases will show Next week.
Which acrylic finish is less glossy? Matte or smooth?  >>>   Matte is embossy,  a little bit rough surface made from the factory.   When a transparent Acrylic is matte, it can be called as ' frosty'.  IMO.
Also, from where this item will be shipped and is there a way to calculate shipping prices?   >>>  From Korea,  to EU  by EMS Express shipping costs,  1Kg = $30,  1.5kg = $39,  2kg = $48

Sprit, any update on availability of Alps PCB?  Really want to put together 1 or 2 of those.

Me too. I hope it actually goes through or ill be very  disappointed. I want a 87% and a 60% too as long as it fits in a poker case. I'm doing blues and pinks.

If you live in AZ you can try my keyboards. I usually keep plenty of different ALPS and MX and buckling springs.

Hello !

60%  and 87% TKL  PCB  are close to the MOQ.
When the most of 1st round shipping are out,  I will recheck and start the 2nd Round Invoicing!!

Hello!  Defect  and  Magna224!   ;)
I was trying to answer Defect on this.  Sorry!!!

One of Alps Fan,  Modern Alps 60%, 87% PCBs are my Dream too.
http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=49407.0    http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=49408.0

The PCB and Case will be relatively easy as we know.
But in my opinion, the major Obstacles are,
- Switches  :  I am afraid a possible mass muder of old Alps keyboard to harvest the Old Alps Switches, like alps Pink, Blue, Orange.
As I posted last time, I have sampled some Taiwanese Alps compatible simplified switches(including linear, non-clicky), the price and quality seems ok, but the MOQ is 50,000.
- Stabilizers, Keycaps  :  need to meet the MOQ.

If someone wants to harvest all the parts from used Alps boards,  in that case, what we need are PCBs and cases.
As the Alps Custom keyboards are one of my goal,  I will try on this project!

And keycaps. It is not trivial to find alps keycaps that will fit a modern layout (from what I can find anyway). It would suck to finally get everything built and working and not be able to use it because you can't find keycaps. Maybe others know where we could get a set of alps caps for a modern layout?

Any of those have reasonably thick options? I know SP DSC and Tai Hao are very thin. I have never seen Matias keycaps, how are they?

Nice remind!  Thanks  BlueBear!  :thumb:

Some Old Taiwanese Alps Compatible Makers have medium-thick keycap Modern 87 winkey moulds, I have been contacting them.
I have not seen Taihao moulds,  Matias caps are thin, as I seen in Matias keyboards.
and the Switch samples need to be evaluated by GH members before the Groupbuy.
I just become afraid of mass Mudering of Vintage Alps keyboard for harvesting, and also I am aware, this might be a small excuse.

Will the stabs that you're using for this keyboard hang over the PCB? I just learned the hard way that the KBT Pure case will only fit the PCB if nothing hangs over.

So, how close are we to finishing up R1 PCBs?  I just realized we are 7 months in with only a few (SMD-less) boards shipped.  Can we get a percentage done?  I understand the time it takes to do the SMD soldering, but it would be nice to know where things stand.  When I paid for shipping months ago, I thought we were almost there... Could we perhaps a total of boards (60/75/110) ordered in R1, and how many left to fill MOQ for R2?  Thanks!

Normally PCBs shouldn't have anything hanging over? What kind of PCB did you try to put in your Pure case?

That is weird, normally the stabilizer wire should be towards the inside, at least on the 60%s I have seen. This is the case with sprit's PCB, too.

In the Round 1,  The failure of PCB MOQs resulted in Manual soldering,  I waited and tried to gather more orders till mid January.
and The Inspection and Reproductions for some parts took a long long time.   I am so sad.     Apology!!!  >:D
I will try my best to ship out the remaining R1 orders, as soon as possible!!!  >:D

In the Round 2,  I will try to gather enough for the MOQs, if Not,  I will drop it or try to fill it.   This may boost the whole speed.
The Process of Inspecting and Sorting Parts and Springs are much improved during R1, I guess it will be much faster (max. 1 months)
The Small parts are already organized to be ready for Round 2.

Thanks Guys for this Happen!   It was my dream to have things like this.  :)

Sorry for the delayed reply!   ;)
Would You please put a small Spacer piece (plastic would better) into between the Toes of Stabs (under the PCB) ?
It will help to prevent the PCB-mount Stabs hang over the PCB.

(added)
Hope this might a proper answer!!   ;)

Stabs has a proper direction, the sliders too.
and the holes in the PCB are small or Larger for the Stabs.
and Metal wire(bar) should be inserted properly into the sliders.

If you're missing the MOQ im quite sure there will be a few who would be willing to make additional orders. I know I would, considering how (relatively) fast this GB can be completed.

My 75% PCB is on the way! But I wasn't clever enough to buy stabilizers from Sprit (or maybe they weren't in stock, I can't remember).

Does anyone know a good (and relatively quick :P) place to buy PCB-mount cherry stabs? Seems surprisingly hard to find a place to buy them.

Edit: And yeah, that ships to Norway.

Does anyone know a good (and relatively quick :p ) place to buy PCB-mount cherry stabs? Seems surprisingly hard to find a place to buy them.

Edit: And yeah, that ships to Norway.

Give IMSTO store a try.

Sweet! Thanks. Exactly what I needed, ordered a set of stabilizers and a set of o-rings for 12 USD + 10 USD shipping.  :thumb:
