What should my next mice be?
« on: Tue, 24 May 2016, 12:26:55 »
My razer deathadder 2013 is getting ready to be retired and I am searching for a new mice.

In search of something around the same size as the deathadder. I have a claw grip am right handed! Was potentially looking for a zowie but not too familiar of the models.
Such artisan, many caps, very keyboard.

G303 or G100s

What do you like about this mouse? How does it compare to something more minimalist like the deathadder?

Steel Series Rival 300? Mionix Castor? I've read lots of good things regarding Zowie mice; I would try them out if they had a model that maxed at 6-8k cpi. I'm not the target audience obviously

edit - I've tried low dpi/cpi since and I have to say it's not bad for short periods of time. One of these days I'll check out Zowie

G303 or G100s

Both of those are significantly smaller than the DA2013, which is a pretty large mouse.

The Rival 300 or FK1 are both about the same size and shape and are pretty good.

In the Zowie line, the EC1-A would probably be the closest equiv. Some folks don't like Zowie, however, because of the limited configuration options.

Zowie doesn't know what they're doing..  they just slap things together off the shelf..  they do not have the performance validation framework in terms of developmental design like logitech/ razer.

4 months later...I don't think anybody was too concerned about it

Logit G403 is quite nice, In fact, Logi's entire lineup is pretty good!

I have had my Zowie EC-1A for a while now, Loving it
The limited adjustability and customisation might be a no-no for some, I don't care about lights and colours so it's the perfect choice for me in terms of performance and ergonomics.  :thumb:

Why not trying trackballs? You save desk space by not moving them around and if you find the right model for you they can be as comfortable to use as any mouse.

In retrospect, the Mionix Castor is "just" a rebadged Avior 7000. Nothing wrong with that if that's your thing. But newer mice, like the G502, come with the 3366, which is - IMHO - way better.

Steel Series Sensie (rubber outside).  Try it, you won't regret it.
