Great read Matt3o, I'm debating now if I should pick up two sets of the Elven Tongue Kit. :thumb:

Only two?

I already have more keysets than boards. :p

I could pick up three at the max, that would then be one for myself, one for my brother, and one for my father. However DSA isn't the best type of profile for typing so I'm sure my father would not enjoy it.

Great to see that the base mods (Icons in my case) will include a 1.25u Shift key. One less reason to get a Pro Mods kit for my crazy ISO-ANSI hybrid layout...

But I still think that the Secondary Legends pack should be sold without the numpad... I think that now, after the drop hit almost 3k purchases the numpad could still hit the MOQ easily as a separate child deal.

Unfortunately we don't have a crystal ball, I estimated 500 common kits sold and we are hitting 1000 in less than 48h... If I knew...

Secondary Legends only has 58 orders. The number Massdrop gives is all the kits that have been ordered, so that doesn't mean that 3k people joined in on the buy. http://www.massdrop.community/mechkeys/granite/index.html

Those numbers haven't been updated since the price drop last night. I've been watching the number sold for the common kit, and it still shows 682 sold.

I've just ordered the the Common kit + Icon mods + Apple kit + Secondary legends pack. It will be my first custom keyset... hopefully without damages and such. I'm really afraid of SP and their QC.

True dedication!

Or insanity ...
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Ps. Ignore the weird thumb cluster and modifier caps. Not sure what these monsters did to my Ergodox while I was out of the office.

This picture tickles me in all of the right places.

Elven kit looks really good. Guess I will order even if it means the later batch.

Hi People,

I missed this drop Batch One, so I'm thinking to buy "Think Different" Standard Modifier Keyset over @PMK (I'm purchasing their 6u spacebar anyway). Does the grey color of "Think Different" Standard Modifier Keyset look exactly the same as this Keyset?

Thank you.

Congratulations on a very successful drop and the fourth round of Granite, now pretty much everybody had tried the set, and this time, over 1k more full sets were sold. Maybe one of the best selling sets of all times.
