Discussion on Yui660c CB v2:
Colors available: https://imgur.com/a/uCGrEXK
Materials: Top case will be made with aluminum, bead blasted and then anodized. The bottom panel will be made out of brass, brushed and then passivated. The top case colors will require MOQ as well as [max]OQ of 5 units.
Acessories: will include stand offs 2 sets, screws 2 sets, 3M bump on's 2 sets, and 1 extra long general data daughter cable (extras can be added for additional cost).
Timeline: 10 weeks, after starting GB to shipping the boards out to customers. I move quickly and if no parts need to be reworked or reordered we will almost certainly beat this timeline by 4 weeks.
Price: 350-400 USD depending on order quantity
What is the Yui660c CB v2? The Yui660c CB v2 is a case for the Leopold Fc660c. The Yui660c CB v2 is designed specifically to allow the lowest average typing surface across the whole board. This is done by moving the daughter board out from undernearth the case. This requires a custom sourced extra long general data cable. By moving the daughter board out from undernearth the board, the overall board when sitting in a flat orientation is able to be lowered as much as possible for the most comfortable, flat typing experience.
EDIT: Adding in some details on the kiki660c here as well, my newest rev of the fc660c case design saga!~

That pink looks really red in your picture. Always nice seeing mods like this for prebuilts though. good luck with this!

Hey! Thanks for the comment. I have heard this alot and I agree. The pink is hard to photograph but it is absolutely not red. It is more purple/magenta, similar to fuschia, or the color of a pink dragon fruit.

Nice to see more of your designs :)

Thank you, so happy to share them here as well!

I just love this. How's compatibility with FC660M?
-
If the whole reason for this board was to "allow the lowest average typing surface across the whole board," why leave a bunch of dead space? Utilize the space for something else such as a display window for the daughterboard akin to the polycarbonate housings for a realforce 87u (PC XRF, PC Norbaforce). PC and im in, take my money

Yeah, that 2 key cluster off in la la land looks...off. It's really messing with fuctau bro. I think it would look better as a standard 65% layout, or even better, section off the arrow keys into a separate cluster too, and make that 2-key cluster a 3 or 4 key cluster. (preferably 3)

So there will only be 20 cases total?

Isn't this just an aftermarket case for an existing board. Or is there a way he can modify the layout?

Really love seeing your improvements on this project. The new dimensions do look better.
Don't have a 660c but love the layout. Keeping an eye on this for sure.

Hey! for your question:
I am trying to support the fc660m. I need a cable extender that has screws to screw into the daugther board spot. it's above my skill level. I plan to tackle it with a friends help when time permits.

I also have a new design, the kiki660c... going to probably just share the updates here as well. most of my updates go thru my youtube or my website or reddit but ill try to participate here more often.
