Can we move the irrelevant discussion to Off Topic or something?
There are people who are subscribed to the thread waiting for the B-stock drop and the excessive notifications can get annoying.

I wouldn't hold your breath for b-stock boards. Yuktsi has said before that he doesn't sell boards that don't meet his QC requirements and I doubt he will start now.

IIRC he also made way more boards for Alice as well though

iirc it was 40 (for the GB) and then extras to get color MOQs (10) on some colors, so maybe 60 tops?

What connector does the PCB have anyway? Is like to buy a new cable for it before it arrives.

How stiff is that FR4 plate?   I hope it's fairly stiff, b/c I've recently become a hater of uneven plate flex.  If that plate was like thin polycarb, it would be all kinds of floppin in the bottom left, bottom right, and top left.  I like flex, but it has to be even to be pleasant to me.

It's stiffer than PC for sure. No flop when it's just held. The material properties at least put it between PC and aluminum.

I dont think that yuktsi would mind handing out the files for the grill if someone was willing to run a batch of them, as he's pretty generous with the plate files regarding that. Don't take my word for it though. Can't remember the vote aswell, might be because I initially didn't think I could afford this beauty.

I followed it intently and I don't recall there being a vote. I also cba to look back through the IC thread to check. The grill looks amazing, but we haven't even seen the final weight design in hand yet. Pretty sure that's also gonna be well tasty.

What's up with the FR4 plates? It's the same material as PCB's?

I imagine it softens bottoming out a bit. Does it deepen the sound? More of a thud?
