MKC Aluminum Poker Case (black?) SOLD

It was supposed to be Granite Grey but MKC made a mistake on anodizing. It looks much darked than Granite Grey. More like black. So I need to get rid of it.

GirlDC Black Darth Vader $170

28439-3

TypeNow Solid w/ MX Brown $350
Like-new condition. It has been used with other keycaps for a few weeks and I put a plastic roof on it when I don't use it. It comes with the stock-on keycaps which are brand new.
This keyboard has been opened once to check inside, so the warranty paster is broken.

Ducky 9008 G2 w/ Red MX Switch  $100 shipped to CONUS
They are brand new in box, I have about 10+ pieces left. The price is even lower than what I paid. But I just have to clean them up.

It's in great condition. Has been used for less than a month. It comes with KBC 104PBT black engraved keyset.
8936-16

Realforce 105U Variable $190 plus shipping

I bought it from another member here like a year ago. I don't know why the left side and the bottom side of the frame look a bit yellow, I think it was caused by sweat. Other than that, it's in good condition.

It's in good condition, missing a "`~" key on the right side, and spacebar has got shiny. It comes with extra 60+ Topre Yellow Blank keycaps which mostly fit a HHKB. It doesn't come with any other accessories such as USB cable.
The Yellow Set is missing a R2 key which fits the ASDFGH row. Also the right shift key has R2 profile instead of R3. Other than that, this keyset comes with a few extra modifiers keys for 87U and 104U.

Hi,

I had a look at your eBay listing and saw the set of 37 Zinc key caps.  Are these very similar to the Aluminium ones that Longweight, a few posts up, has?
How heavy are they?  Would that be similar to the Aluminium ones?
Are they anodized or painted?  Is the text on the caps likely to wear off quickly?
Are they different heights for each row?  In the photos they look the same height.
Do they do a white set with black text?

Thanks.

Not the zinc keycaps are heavier than aluminum ones. For each 33-keyset of zinc, it's about 7-8 oz.

Zinc ones were laser-etched if you meant the printed ones. The text will not easily wear off for sure.

They sure have different rows. R1, R2, R3, and R4. For the 37-keyset, it includes R1, R2, and R3 rows.

They don't have ones with black text, only white text.

Thanks for that info :)

So that's an average of about 6 grams each.

I've read that some of these zinc caps are a very tight fit and saw your thread advertising the new 'pop up' ones that you've said will be a better fit.

Are your currently for sale Zinc 33 and 37 keys sets the older overly tight fit?

Thanks.

Yeah the ones I have for sale now are the older version which fit tightly.

The 2nd version has been made out yet. I just opened a group buy for the 2nd gen though.

Do you have a link to your new group buy of the better fitting ones?

Might you have a 6 width space bar to accompany my 1990 Cherry beige / light grey double shots that I've fitted to this new QPAD (iOne X-armor) MX-Reds board?  The old Cherry space bar is a 7.

I think I'm liking these reds and the noise issues I was having seem to have been mostly cured by the Cherry caps.  Except the space bar which is currently still the QPAD one.  I also prefer the feel under the finger tips of the Cherry caps.  They've worn smooth and I like that; my fingers 'glide' over them.

Here's the link to the new group buy for zinc V2: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=34996.0

And sorry but I don't have any 6x spacebar.

Cherry double-shot is always good. :) I like the thickness and the surface. Just not so into it's appearance. SP's DS keycaps look a way more awesome.

I've seen these cases around. I'd buy at that price if someone can confirm that it fits Phantom.

Those acrylic cases look nice...

By the way, are those bright rich rainbow coloured keycaps OEM profiled? Or cherry?

Yep, I asked him about that. They fit, you just need to take the controller off and stick it somewhere in the case.
Good feeling of oneness.

Overall it's better than the 1st version. But still not perfect. If you didn't put the plate into the exact place of acrylic case, some keys might get stuck. And I don't know why there's a little gap on the right side of the black case, they just don't fit together perfectly.

I think they're bright cheerful colours. :)

Do they do them full sized with the number pad?

How noisy are they?  The noise changes a lot between different manufacturers.  The QPAD (made by iOne ?) seemed the quietest on the market.  I can only guess at why.  Maybe the case design is less resonant.  Maybe the metal plate thickness, shape, or the way it joins the case?

Does this only affect the black case? :)

Is there any sort of coating on the acrylic cases?  Either that, or do you have any recommendations for a coating that I could apply?

It's just that I can see them getting scratched quite easily. :(

After looking at a hardness comparison of plastics, it turns out that acrylic is one of the harder types.  So I guess one couldn't really stick a scratch proof coating on it.  :P

Could of course make keyboard cases out of glass sheets, but I can see that ending very badly...

No MKC only makes TKL size. Noisy? I don't know what you meant here. Usually it depends on whether the keyboards have a plate under the switches.

And I don't know why there's a little gap on the right side of the black case, they just don't fit together perfectly.

Not so sure, I think it might affect the other colors too since they were made by the same machine. :(

No there's no coating on the case. Well, they could get scratched easily. :( You'll have to be careful during using.

It's not like red actually. It's more like red-pink.

I sent you a PM about the black and blue acrylic cases. Don't know if you got it since the message has not appeared in my "Sent message" column.
But anyway, I'd like to know how much more I'd have to pay for shipping if I take 2 instead of just one case.

Oh, and shipping is to Sweden.

Thanks.
