That HHKB looks awesome, been looking to pick one up.

Did you swap out the keys with another HHKB, or are they non-HHKB keys?

They are HHKB keys from a black printed HHKB. Both the keyboard and the keycaps are brand new except for the swap. No more than 1-2 sentences typed on it.

I got them from another user here... came with some other modifiers too, but I have no need for the WASD.

Ah, cool. Any idea where they were originally sold? I don't mean to threadjack, just curious on the origin of those since I haven't seen a full set of pine green caps before.

According to CPTBadAss and Photekq, the case may work without any modification at all, and if not, can be made to work with slight modification.

The Tealgreen set and Siig are priced higher than what I paid, a small attempt to mitigate the overall loss I will be taking on this sale. Everything else is at or below my cost. I assure you no profit will be made on this sale. If you have any further questions, contact me via PM rather than publicly posting details of our past trade. Thanks!

I'm posting here to let people know you are making a profit by doubling the price on that set, so whoever is interested in that set can make their judgement. I hate the idea of making profit, but of course you can make your own choice.

And I can see why yicaoyimu would be upset about that since it was sold to you around cost.

I feel very upset. If I knew he would make a profit on that set, I would much rather just keep it, or sell to someone I know who won't make a profit from it.

Sorry, no, and it's pending.

Nice looking SSK, can you walk us through what you did to it? $380 is pretty steep, but sounds like it's something special.

I didn't mod it myself... I bought it from SSKGuy (now aref) who got it from the said IBM tech. My understanding is that it's not fully bolt-modded; just the rivets that were broken when he looked at it. That's the only thing that's been done to it. It feels great to type on and looks brand new.

I'm posting here to let people know you are making a profit by doubling the price on that set, so whoever is interested in that set can make their judgement. I hate the idea of making profit, but of course you can make your own choice.

As I already stated, the net transfer of wealth in this sale is from me to the rest of the community -- by far. I am not making a profit in this sale despite increasing the price of this item. Also, while you may hate profit, what I hate is the lack of discretion you displayed by posting here without contacting me privately. A friendly PM, and I would have sold it for original price without a spectacle. Calling people out in public is not a first line of defense -- it's a last resort.

Forcing people to defend their reputation in public, without even trying to amicably resolve the issue privately -- well, that's gonna make people not like you very much.

To prove to you I'm not out to make a profit -- the first person to contact me and commit to a $75 donation to GeekHack -- I will send them the Tealgreen set for free, at my own expense.  :thumb:

I just figured if someone offered to buy it at cost first, they would get priority in an at cost sale.

It's yours to do as you wish though since it is your sale and I'm sure JD will appreciate them.

What do I need to contact you for? To remind you that you shouldn't sell a set more than what you paid for? You marked the price and you know how much you got it for. That already says everything. Not like me very much? For pointing out an obvious fact? lol.

Bump, some more stuff sold.

I am going to the post office right now to ship everything that has been sold so far, and I will follow up with tracking numbers this evening! I will also respond to PMs. Sorry I didn't make it to the PO yesterday :(

Update: I have PMed everyone. I was unable to drop off most keyboards because the long game board boxes are too big to fit in the USPS dropbox. Very sorry about this guys, I am going to try to drop off all keyboards at a 3rd party USPS service tomorrow, and if that's not possible, first thing Monday morning. Keysets etc have been shipped.
