Hey DeskCandy, as we get closer to the end, can we get just quick updates, like every week or so? Even if just a sentence or two, there is no need to post an epic. It would just be nice to have a quick update of current Step, next step, and current count complete.
I respect the amount of work that has gone into this GB, and the attention to detail put into even the most minor details. Its been a pretty impressive and harrowing process, and I think many lessons were learned in dealing with Onshore vs Offshore suppliers.
That being said, the process for keeping the stakeholders informed has been quite opaque, unfortunately. Even a quick post that says, "Hey all, no updates this week, still waiting to hear from X", or something like: "Quick update, Vendor has updated Estimated time of Pickup to Y" would give us some feedback and feel on how the project is progressing.
Feel free to let me know why this would be a bad idea, but in general I find transparency is key to keep milestones on track, and to keep everyone's enthusiasm up. I am very impressed with your attention to detail on the build process from your previous updates, I am just asking for micro updates in between the major ones (if it takes longer than 5 minutes to write, its too long
)
