Congrats Sed8 :)

There's that special feeling when you win something like this.

And for everyone else there is, as usual, rumours of a followup sale for those who did not get into this one.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Well I didn't let myself get excited 'cause I knew with it being a raffle I wouldn't get one, and I was right. Fail number two on raffles.

I really wanted that powder puff blue brobot too. ;~; Sky blue is my favorite colour. :<

Sometimes I wish I hadn't won in the first sale because what is offered in the second chance sale is usually at least as desirable, if not more so!

Actually having purple balls probably means you are just cold, where as blue ones means something else entirely!

And how did you go in the Bro Caps sale?

Thats 0 for 4 for me now.

I am very gutted. Wanted this win more than any other bro sale as it wouldn't just have made my board prettier but more functional as well went for the Powder Puff Pink BroBot Gamer Set.

As a suggestion, as Bro knows that all the people that entered are willing to pay for the items why not take a deposit from them and make and push them out over time so that no one is disappointed or ends up spending god knows how much in the after market.

As for special sale for those that didn't win. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't be one of those email sales that takes place at some unholy hour for those of us in the UK, I have to be at work in the mornings and those suck more than anything.

Thats my moan over.

Having just gotten into trying to be active here, I didn't have high expectations of winning anything.
But as I watched the clock tick closer to the end time, I started to believe, still didn't win anything though, but I'm not too perturbed especially if the "Special Something" comes soon enough!

Haha damn I won as well! I wasn't expecting anything but I got in with only one key in my ticket.

Congrats to the other winners as well!

Edit: I don't remember, is the PayPal invoicing automatic or will it be someone in the Ctrl Alt team doing it?

You should have your invoice now! Bunny does it.

Yeah I just checked this morning and it was there. Waiting for me.

That's the spirit :)

There will be another sale (probably quite soon), and if you don't win that, there will be something else in the not too distant future.

For now save your money, then you will be better prepared when the next sale arrives.

0/2  :(

Third time's the charm?

I should probably just start requesting more Bro's if I really want a shot. I put 5 on my last ticket - so who knows if I actually was picked but ctrlalt was just out of the bros I selected.

To be fair, I did get some Topre KRAP's this week, and the Granite Bonus Packs are on Massdrop. Not too mad after that :D

Maybe, maybe not.

I am 0/9 on the raffles and that doesn't include the numerous email attempts that I have tried aswell so you've got to be very lucky no matter what.

Not at all man. These caps are amazing and are one of the biggest things that sucked me in to this hobby/obsession. However the keyboard is the foundation of this all :thumb: let us know what you decide to pick up for a board 8)

I wasn't selected in the auction but aren't too disappointed since its the first I've entered.

Out of curiosity are winners determined via some kind of system or is it purely random?

The winners are chosen at random and given the top items on their ticket based on quantity available. Did that make sense? I'm pretty tired.

Curious, what's the reason behind MX Bro's being much thicker than Topre Bro's?

Topre caps are wider on the interior than MX for clearance of the housing.

Cheers Joey Quinn. Just one further question, how often do these lotteries tend to take place?

https://ctrlalt.io/bro-caps

will give you a decent idea of how often they occur.  There were a few email sales interspersed between the sales, too.  But really it's up to Bro's discretion and when he feels he's produced sufficient caps for a sale.
