Sets from from August 2020 are shipping now from GMK, and this closed May 1st 2021. I’d be very pleased if this was in my hands before the end of the year, but plenty of sets are taking more than 19 months from GB close to in USA hands already, and that puts it in 2023.

If you ordered an m6C separately that might ship at a different time. On that aspect check with your vendor.

Doesn't matter if colour matching is needed or not, the queue is simply that long. Sets (with and without colour matching) that ran months before it are only just being shipped now.

Example: Just looked at this forum for something that recently shipped and Space Cadet II, which ran in October 2020, appears to have shipped from GMK this week.
80082, which ran in December 2020, is currently scheduled for June 2022 shipping from GMK, according to Omnitype's website.

All we can give is the latest estimate that we have from GMK. We currently have another round of updates that we are waiting for. If anything changes it will go up on our product updates.

In other news, we hope to be able to share more about the Metropolis Keycult collab soon.

Not all vendors update ETAs at the same time.  ProtoTypist is saying Q4 2022.

It's no secret that the past couple years have been weird, so I again appreciate your continued patience. While this update has nothing to do with the keycaps themselves, it is something I think is equally as fun.

The Metropolis Keycult No.2

Some of you may have noticed on Instagram that I had the great pleasure to visit the Keycult headquarters the other week. In addition to learning a lot about their secret sauce, I was able to take a look at the progress of the Metropolis Edition Keycult No. 2.

Currently, the machining is dialed in and approved, but the anodization color matching/sampling is taking a bit longer than expected. Currently no ETA, but I will check back in once there is something more solid to report.

A note on numbers: I've had a lot of people question how "exclusive" this will be, so I'd like to address that. While this run will be exclusively available to those that purchased Metropolis base kits, it is not meant to be entirely unobtainium within that group. We are currently looking at producing 100-200 units.

When they do announce, they’ll have a raffle and probably? On discord where they’ve got a verification system they use for their raffles. If you’re new to discord might take a few minutes to set up, if you’re already on you’ll enter the raffle in probably 30 seconds. KC discord is worth joining, they don’t ping much and it’s often a neat look at the manu or cool boards.

Do you know if there will be other colors? I would love to have the chance at a blue to match metro or a teal.

edit: I remembered a different color from somewhere, and I really hope the render on novelkey's instagram is an option  :D

Given that Q4 starts on October 1st, that's obviously true. Presumably the point of @Puddsy's response to my post was to say that shipping may well be as late as December 31st.

SMALL UPDATE!

The RAMA caps for Metropolis R2 have been completed, and i've included some photos below. Really happy with how these have turned out. The M6-C macropads are also en-route and I'll provide a similar update on those when I can!

For those still following along. We've just gotten the latest sample for the Metropolis Keycult in! We're so close now! After some long battles and adventures in anodizing trying to get colors that felt appropriate, we decided to move to cerakote for its ability to custom mix pigment. We are working on tweaking the bottom color just a hair, but the top color is approved and I am floored at how well this is going to turn out. Below is some glam glam

Due to location and other factors, different vendors often have slightly different timing.

KeyCaplendar currently says "ETA Q1 2023 - Zion Studios & proto[Typist]"

This is in line with what these two vendors are currently saying:
   proto[Typist] - "Q1 2023"
   Zion Studios - "January 2023"

QUICK UPDATE! Metro is now shipping out to customers and vendors. NovelKeys has already begun shipping, and the other vendors should be receiving their orders here shortly!

There will only be a TKL available for this at this time.
