GMK ADA
IC FORM
Welcome to the interest check for GMK ADA! Originally, this set was designed by another passionate community member who unfortunately had to step away due to personal circumstances. After reaching out and obtaining their permission, I am excited and honored to carry forward their vision and bring this set to life.
The original design was inspired by Pantone 137C, a striking and vibrant color often associated with Veuve Clicquot’s champagne label. It also draws influence from the iconic yellow and orange items seen in the work of Dieter Rams’ office, adding a layer of timeless design inspiration. This distinctive hue gives GMK ADA a unique and elegant character. Additionally, the set pays homage to Ada Lovelace, widely regarded as the first computer programmer and a historical figure who has inspired countless innovators.
As a person with a deep love for monochromatic and simple sets, GMK ADA aligns perfectly with my aesthetic sensibilities. Its clean, understated design is versatile and timeless.

Novelties
This time around, I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with Stellaidoscope, who helped bring two very special novelties to life, each one a nod to Ada Lovelace’s legacy and the early age of computing.
The first is a flying machine a representation inspired by a design Ada sketched during her youth. It captures her fascination with mechanics and early steam powered technology, a curiosity that would later fuel her pioneering work in mathematics and computing.
The second is an abstraction to the punch cards used in Charles Babbage’s Analytical Engine, represented here as an Enter/ASCII key. These punch cards served as one of the earliest forms of inputting data into a machine, and this novelty honors Ada’s groundbreaking contributions to programming through that same machine.
Each novelty aims to blend elegance and history, highlighting the brilliance of a mind far ahead of its time.
Punch cards used on the analitycal engine, if you are interested on how these actually worked, you give this a read https://www.fourmilab.ch/babbage/cards.html
