I think that spacebar is HHKB pure keycap.
mechanical space bar doesn't fit topre size

One can always swap the stems or take it from a donor keycap ;)

I don't mean stem standard.. I mean space bar's length.
topre space bar length is 6 unit but almost mechanical key set has 6.25 unit.

Wow, great job. That must have been quite the feat converting it to Topre. I'd love to see a build log or some internal pics.  :thumb:

Maybe try some different angles/settings?

Looking for feedback from anyone who has silence a Realforce 55g board.

A Realforce 87U55 has rendered my 45g HHKB kind of mushy—enough for me to overlook my strong preference for a 60% form factor.

I don’t mean to sensationalize either camp with fanboyism—these are both great boards. I just find the 55g so much a better fit for me. I’m really a surprised to prefer one over the other so strongly, but the crispness of the heavier switch just feels right…not too heavy. But it has made the 45g switch seem light.

I guess there’s always the route of transplanting the stiffer domes to the smaller format, but I’m losing patience for the more fiddly aspects of modding, and the sheet of domes qualifies as fiddly for me.

At the same time, I have added Hypersphere’s silencing rings to my HHKB and found them a great improvement. But, other than the spacebar, the RealForce doesn’t seem too loud.

The 55g also seem to offer little quicker and more accurate typing for me. The difference is the confidence boost in knowing a key has been actuated from the additional tactility and the quicker spring back and return on the up stroke.

I’ve got the silencing rings on hand for the Realforce, but I am leery of compromising any of the responsive feel of the 55g board. Anyone completed the mod have feedback on any loss of crispness in the switches? I didn’t notice any change in feel when adding the   rings to the HHKB but then they weren’t this crisp to start with either.

Well my 18-55 has motor issues, so AF doesn't work half the time.

But I agree, different angles look fine I've found, just those where I try to get wider angles seem a bit blurred. Maybe I'll try upping the aperture more so than I have.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that's a fake V2. Very few ice V2's exist, and that doesn't seem to be one of them. A number of fake transparent bros have been making their way around.

I asked bunny and he said that he thought they where legit. Also, it looks exactly like Ice and there are no glitters in the Ice one (if this catalog is on point):

xondat: It looks like a 15". I have one too. My girl friend has an 11" MBA, and I've used an HHKB with that too, with great success. If you add small feet at the right places, an HHKB will fit any MacBook perfectly without pressing down on the internal keyboard.

If you use Karabiner (a Mac keymaper) on MacBook's it has the option of turning off the built it keyboard when a external board is being used.

I have mine lubed as well, and any difference that there might be is overshadowed by the difference in feel between stock topre and cherry. I can't really imagine them feeling much smoother though.
