GMK Database
So I have to confess to a little big obsession that I have with GMK keysets. The work that is being done in this keyboard community is probably the most impressive I have seen. I am hooked on so many levels, I love collecting, I love design, I love technology... all these things together explains my obsession. That said, I wanted to try and do my little bit for the community and put together a GMK specific catalog of all the past GB's of full sets, mods, escape packs, etc... the ones who succeeded, the ones who unfortunately didn't make MOQ (although trying again is not a bad thing), and anything else out there GMK related. There have been threads on keyset designs, but this one is specific to GMK.

The above introduction was written by the original curator of the GMK Database in this thread, 64rky.  64rky has not been active in a year, but GMK sets have continued to be produced at an ever-increasing rate as the hobby continues to grow.  As such, user Vloshko has requested to post his up-to-date database in this post, and manage it here in the same location.  Please use the below Google Docs link to access the current (2019) database from Vloshko.  If you'd like permissions to edit the database, contact Vloshko by PM.  General comments can still be posted in this thread.

Special Thanks to HoffmanMyster for helping verify the initial draft and pointing out areas of improvement.

Compared to some of the people on this thread, I am a pretty big n00b, and I have done my best to catalog what I could find, which means that there is likely to be missing sets, mising packs and so on, so please help me build this so that we can have a single place to go to when looking for GMK sets.

The format
I want to keep the format as simple as possible, but include as much information as possible. I would like to provide the keyset name, the link to it's thread, the organizer, the color codes, images of the base sets, and any extra sets, the inspiration, and as suggested, the final numbers produced... This is a lot, and some keysets have custom colors, but I am sure we can do this.

I will have a section for full sets, for mod packs, escape backs, and sets that didn't quite make MOQ.

The Colors
Here are the standard GMK colors:

I need your help
Again, I am a relative n00b to all of this, and I am not trying to take any credit for anything, but rather would like to showcase the amazing work done in this community. Please help me improve this to be the "goto" thread for GMK keysets.

This is where I will keep a list of areas where I need help. This list will grow depending on what feedback I get, so keep an eye out for where you can help.

TODO
  • Add Modifier text options as suggested by here
  • I would like to include a small Icon representing the color and the code, I am not a photoshop guru, so any help here would be awesome!
  • I need to try and collect all the final set numbers, so any organizers, your help is very much needed here
  • There are several duplicate buys done by different users, where they have added some extra keys, or done something slightly different. If you know of these please fire me the link and I'll add the details.
  • Add GB's that didn't quite make MOQ

Past Full Set Group Buys
Here I will attempt to catalogue all the past group buys which have been successful. If I have missed anything out (almost certainly).

Now that I have found quite a few renders, I am going to slowly start adding images. I am planning on using Post your GMK as teh source, and will credit the photographer and owner of the set. If you see your picture up here and want it taken down please let me know and I'll take it down as soon as I can.

Wonderful work. Been saving the renders to help me remember what full sets looked like, but this is far handier.

Thank you... If you see any that I am missing, let me know and I will definitely add them. I have reserved a couple of slots, might use one for "failed" gb's or have the IC's in there, so I can then just move them when they go to GB stage.

What would really be nice is a spot for known GMK legends, such as symbol only mods, word only mods, mixed symbol and word mods, Ctrl and Control, windows logos, code, and so on.

Would each of these not be their own GB, and thus add them in, or am I missing your point? If I am and the section works, I am happy to add it (Reserved two spots).

I'm not talking about group buys, but known GMK legends that are available.  You could use examples from past buys, but it would be useful to see what legend options are available from GMK.

Are you just adding any sets that were designed? SNES was never created and you're missing Red Alert.

Did SNES not make it on Massdrop? Yes, Red alert is missing, see my todo list.

Appreciate that you added that they were produced. There are some old ones that I never heard of that never made it, or had child deals that didn't meet MOQ.

Updated the "todo" list... will keep updating it with suggestions, and then just work through them slowly.

Are you just adding any sets that were designed? SNES was never created and you're missing Red Alert.

Did SNES not make it on Massdrop? Yes, Red alert is missing, see my todo list.

Well Olivetti and Red Alert were ran together, I figured you would pair them both together.

Great to see this up.  Was just talking to someone else about this, but I love that despite not having a wiki, our members still strive to document and create information hubs like this.  :thumb:

Haven't found any luck finding a Red Alert render, there is one off a taobao link but it's super tiny. Also I haven't seen any mention of GMK Beige, it is an unborn set like SNES.

I thought inidividuals found out that the Valentine set wasn't a custom pink, but UN33656.

Another set that wasn't really shown by Originativeco back when Sherryton first started was the CR on CP (could've been L9) since only a few had that set at the time which iirc had the bump (similar to the 5 key in R3) on scoops for the F and J keys.

Where's the cap for T9? It says it's used as the base color for Monkey but I don't see the cap for it in the reference pic.

Thought I read on the discussion thread that magenta was not used.  I will have to double check,  but thanks,  will update this evening.
