Story and Inspiration:
This set was inspired by surfers like Greg Noll and the golden age of Hawaii big wave surfing. I wanted to pay tribute to the feelings of catching a wave when the only source of light is a beautiful sunset. I was also inspired by California and Hawaii surf culture, especially Malibu and Aviator Nation.

To me sunsets are defined by a more gradient nature, and really so are waves.
If you want to stick with a more surfing theme, I suggest maybe adding a gradient of some sort to the keys or changing the colors a bit
Of course this is all my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.

Please take notice about the pipe character inconsistency — about half the \| keys use the proper vertical bar ('|'), while the rest use the broken bar ('¦'). Choose one or the other (the former, not the latter!), but don't use both to represent the same legend.
Also, R3 \|, yadda yadda yadda.

Your 40s kit needs 40s specific spacebars in it. Otherwise 40s users will HAVE to purchase base, 40s kit, and spacebars to cover their board (3 kits for 1 small keyboard).
The 40s kit will need the following spacebars:

Call me blind, but I don't see inspiration from waves or sunsets at all :confused:.I liked the idea of the orange in each key being the sun hitting the little waves, but I was thinking "where's the sun itself?" Maybe an orange num row or an orange F5 through F8 and pinkish F1-F4 and F9-F12 would give that vibe.
To me sunsets are defined by a more gradient nature, and really so are waves.

Few observations/suggestions:
- Seems some of the legends at least in the Base kit render are mis-proportioned (ISO Enter, 1u Ctrl, 1u Backspace, for example)
- There seems to be extra 1u `~ and 1.5u \| keys in the Base kit
- I may suggest changing the extra Alphas kit to "Accent Alphas"; typically "Mono" alphas would be what is in the Base kit: alphas and modifiers that have the same cap color
- As a Mac and Tsangan guy, I enjoy 1.5u Code and an extra 1u Alt keys in the main kit, if possible
- Would also suggest a 1.5u Function key

Has there been a set that ran with split spacebars in a base kit? Most buys I've browsed and been a part of have usually kept split bars in the spacebar kit. For example GMK Grand Prix (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=103904) has 40-related spacebars in the 40s kit, and spacebars had 6u center/off-center in base and accent colors.
It may also be worth playing around with 6.25u/7u spacebars in blue and accent orange in the base kit, sos every base kit gets the most popular sizes in both colors.

GMK Oni, Belafonte, Lux, also the giant base kits from Matrix labs (GMK matrix, wild) have split bars in base. Been a recent thing...

Thanks. For kitting, it looks like the orange kit will have alphas and f row and a Numpad. The orange spacebars will potentially be in the base.
