I don't need a 3rd switch tester... I don't need a 3rd switch tester... But Alps?.... Ugh, I might be caving.

This looks great man, best of luck!

Once you guys get your units then please write a review and post a link here. Also, if you have any ideas for a potential second run - with different sizes - please also tell me.

  • Hello and welcome.
It arrived in the mail yesterday. It's pretty thick - nice! For those wondering; it mounts Alps switches in the horizontal slot and Cherries in the vertical slot, so there is a little play for each. Alps aren't retained by it all THAT well, but then again, that does make them easier to replace. I'll be using mine in a video review I've got planned for next month :) .

That's interesting. Mine mounts Alps more firmly than Cherry. Looser is better I guess though.

Man, this thing got weight. Amazing little piece of metal. The holes fit my switches perfectly. I plan on making some kind of programmable 4-key module. The finish is stunning and as expected. Thanks for doing this!

Potential Uses
  • Switch Tester - try out different switches
  • Artisan Cap Display - store and show off your Cap Collection. Alternatively, an attractive option for cap makers looking to professionally show their wares.
  • Switch Lubrication and Modding station - a useful tool to streamline your modding workflow without taking up space like larger stations
  • DIY macro board - add a teensy for a stylish and customisable macro board.

You could also:
  • Glue some accordion reeds to it to make a four-note harmonica
  • Use it as a graffiti template for someone whose tag is four small rectangles
  • Add some scrolling red LEDs, glue it to the front of your glasses, and pretend you're a Cylon.
