The keyboard case was redesigned because whilst the original design was nice, it was difficult to apply to different / smaller layouts such as the HHKB layout, split ortholinear keyboard and numpad.

So just to make sure, the first design with "pillars" is now ruled out, right?

Thanks for the answer! Sad to see it go as I really liked it and even if I understand the reason behind removing it, as other have said, I'm not sure if will be joining the GB :(

I too prefer the original design. Am looking for my first 75% and thought I'd found it.
Please bring back the original design as an option.

Good luck with your future endeavors, unfortunately the original CU75 design is what brought my interest in the first place. But I think I will now have to pass on this.
