Stepped caps on HHKB layout is illegal.

Has Rama released any timeline info on stabs?  I’m sure it will be a while, but I’d love to put some on my new M60-A.

No time-frame, other than they will not be available for the release of the M60-A, from his last mention of 'em.

No timeline yet unfortunately :( waiting on the latest samples (1-2 weeks) - need to get it very right before moving into moulding :P

Was pretty happy with the first round of prototyping, so looking forward to testing out proto 2 :D

Anyone have any insight on stabilizers?  I've read good things about zeal stabs and costar.  Is this build meant to be used with PCB mount screw-in stabs?

You need PCB mount stabilizers, yes.
Most people think that GMK Screw-in stabilizers are the best stabs available right now.

I love GMK screw-in stabs, but I'm a little wary of them since I read that someone shorted their board out from the screws going through the PCB hitting their metal case. Pretty sure all my boards have plenty of clearance, but still freaks me out a little bit...

That's usually if the PCB isn't designed that well. Shouldn't be a problem on this PCB in particular because:
1. Wilba designs good PCBs.
2. Pads are generally not exposed due to the kailh sockets.

If you are really worried you could just use some nylon washers.

Speaking of PCB's, they're in our warehouse! I'll take some photos tomorrow :) The finish came out much better than the prototype ones and are very matte now :D

1.  :D
2. This is single layout, so stabilizers do not overlap anything else. But also, typically the problem is overlapping with through-hole LEDs, and this has pre-assembled RGB LEDs.

The funnier thing would be m60 shipping near or before Tokyo 60. I wouldve gotten both but there is only so much budget.

I am interested in getting a Yarbo cable for this build.  I’ve heard worrying things about the connector being so heavy that it could damage the USB port on the PCB.  The case on the M60-A looks like it might reinforce this port a bit.  Do you think this is the case or is it still potentially a problem?

Hard to say, but should be fine given that circular part of the cable fits into the recess - else the new cable included with the M60-A will be metal (it's arriving next week - will show it then!)
