Title: Wood laser cutting services
Post by: DonnyD on Sun, 27 May 2018, 12:36:41
I am making my keyboard from wood. I thought Ponoko.com will be great choice, but due to shipping cost its not worth it for me. To make my keyboard would cost about 45 USD, and shipping 66 USD (I live in Lithuania) !!! So can you help finding trusted and maybe tested laser cutting service in Europe, or at least where worldwide shipping is cheaper :D

I've got good luck with https://www.formulor.de/ in the past. According to their FAQ they ship to lithuania for ~ 25 €. That's still a lot but slightly cheaper than shipping from the US.

Also I've heard good things about https://www.cutworks.com/. Maybe they ship to Lithuania as well?

Formulor's wood materials are too thin for me. MDF is thick enough, but it wont look like wood... Veneer is 0.6mm. And plywood doesn't look good enough.
Cutworks seems to have only metals, not wood. I found sculpteo.com, so i think i will be using it (shipping 25, so no other option) :) .Thanks for reply !!
