As the White Valentine key set GB is nearly done, I'd like to have an interest check for another keyset that I really want to make it happen since long time ago.



Let me know what you guys would want from the key set if there's a Group Buy for it.

Yes it should be a Double shot DCS or Cherry profile keyset for the Cherry font! :)

For now my opinion is the Cherry font suits the color scheme best (so it should be DCS or Cherry profile). But I'd love to hear from you guys!

I just realized gmk doesnt have brown as one of their colors unless it is custom made which may cost more.

You will have to stick with pmk or if you are lucky, you may be able to get Bunnylake to support the keyset under that new company he is working with.

I dont really like pmk that much for dcs profile. Mostly becuase of the bottome row profile. The spacebar is uncomfortable.

That new company huh? Yes that's an option for Cherry profile key set too. I should investigate who they really are xD

If going for DSA or SA the font will have to be changed... another mockup shall be done.

I really like the look of this set but if it's produced by SP I won't be buying it. I'd say you should look into JT keycaps if you want thick abs but don't want the cost/ moq of gmk.

I agree this might be a good set to run through JTK, but you'd have to clear it with Bunny and CtrlAlt. He has dropped hints about having 2 or 3 additional sets in the pipeline for JTK that he wasn't ready to share just yet. Might end up being easier to just use GMK. Doesn't hurt to ask though.

Can I ask what color codes you plan on using from pmk?

I know the brown color codes don't exist on gmk unless someone knows something I don't.

I guess the Windows key will have to be printed. I don't think all those colors can be double shot. Is that the plan?

Everyone loves Chocolate and all it's connotations  8) .

Every white woman dreams about getting some serious chocolate action here and why not, it's the most striking colour currently available for anyone to try.

Don't be shy, go get some Chocolate then finally be satisfied that all those stories told by people were all true and you too shall become a confirmed Chocoholic  :thumb: .

I think the set is beautiful! My one piece is that the windows logo in the mockup is kind of bright and distracting.

If going with PMK the colors would be TBN, TAA, GAW, ...

Exactly. The Windows key shall have to be pad-printed to have multi colors on it. The key cap would cost a little xD

Thanks! To do one color Windows key is simple and if it requested by the majority I'd love to include both keys.

Those colors you're using for the text mods are perfect. I really want those and I'm not into the Cherry profile caps (at least...for now), so that must be saying something  :)

Would love to see this in a Cherry profile, GMK would make it even better.

I'd stick with a simple name, like Chocolate Bar.

For a design like that I wonder if a place would allow you to have a double shot in just one of the colors underneath the whole pad print?  For the windows logo like we are discussing here you would double shot it in yellow, and then pad print the colors over that.  So then if the pad print starts to wear off, instead of being left with the base keycap color the pattern remains but just fades to yellow to match the "menu" and "fn" legends.

Doing something like that may yield a more interesting worn look to pad prints (as the design would remain legible), that might actually be nice to look at.  Though Alignment would be the tricky part, as no one wants a yellow shadow to the windows logo.  Think of it like a ghetto quintuple shot.

These keycaps look awesome! I made a crude winkey change. Maybe it will look closer to the other legends? should be thicker i think though.

I would buy this IF you went with either DSA or SA profile, and here's why - myself and a huge bunch of retro fans have missed out on about 5 different retro-style keycap sales in the last few months.  This brown combination is very 70s, and with a DSA/SA profile, you would get many buyers like myself wanting to fill their retro void.  You might not realise just how 70s this colour scheme is, and how successful it could be in the retro market.

SA market's flooded and SA tooling is backed up for a good long while. If you're after retro, check out Green Screen :) I think that'll be an awesome set "in the flesh". DSA is just not popular right now, for many reasons, so I don't think it's the best choice. Also, the OP wants Cherry legends, which are only available on DCS or from GMK and JTK.

I have high hopes for this running as a JTK set.  DCS is acceptable for those who like the high pitch click of Blues, but I don't buy anything nowadays that's not either Cherry profile (with low angle bottom rows and really thick) or SA.

The only one that could change that is Devlin's "Q" profile if anything ever comes of UKKeycaps' discussion with them.

Same here, the quality really looks good by them so if GMK isn't even considered here, then heading down this route would be nice.

We all want some real chocolate goodness upon our keyboards here so make this happen soon.  Avoid pad printing please because we here on GH are in for 100% plastic injection, all the way  :thumb: .
