A guy runs upto you with a knife, and you say "Go ahead, I'll only drop 5 bucks"
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

You have more computer/electronics parts than car parts.
The only auto parts most likely laying around would be consumables or wear/tear replacement items. Even then it would be pertinent to your car and unnecessarily out of the ordinary. Plus it's easier to accumulate computer parts as they are easier to store due to general compactness and more interchangeable/modular than auto parts. In most scenarios, the number of computer parts would probably exceed auto parts.
With that said, aint nothing wrong having 20+ motherboards laying around.

You go outside and step in something unpleasant, and realise you hadn't quick-saved.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

When your a programmer and you work with other programmers and they consider you geek because you have a "special" keyboard.

When you enjoy more watching LOL games than watching hockey (or football or whatever).

When you know most of the different switches, springs etc. available for keyboards.

When you know the main differences between abs and pbt.

And, in the end, when you are PROUD of it  :thumb:

No, not a programmer

Not LOL, but other games...

Yes.

Yes, to a certain extent...

hmm......

When, as soon as people notice the keyboard you brought to school/job, you're more than willing to go over it and all the other keyboards you have, thereby launching into a conversation they had not anticipated and/or is extremely awkward for them.

When you order orthodontic dental bands and your wife [...]  just says, 'Is it for a keyboard? You're such a dork.'
So, no kidding I laugh, I call my wife over, I read this post. She explains that I'm not allowed O-rings to reduce travel depth. Why? "Because typing is the only exercize you get!"

I offer to build my keyboard out of greens ... eighty plus grams of actuation force. She interrupts me to say she doesn't want to hear about actuation forces and storms off back to facebook on her computer.
