But it looks like it's a rubber dome.

My guess is that it is a rubber dome or some really old alps.

I assume it's rubber dome with Alps caps.

Any ideas what the caps are and how they're printed.

I have one of those Monterey rubber dome keyboards, and the switch sure does look the same. The font and colour on the key caps match also, but not the shape of the key caps or the printing. My Monterey had lasered keys, but these look pad-printed. Monterey keyboards with mechanical switches are known to have pad-printed keys.

that's my boy. it's a rubberdome but it feels better, and that white part is complicated :)

also the layout is confising :
