Read as much as you can.  There's a wealth of information here if you just take the time to actually check it out and try and absorb it.  Make decisions for yourself, not based on what the majority or senior members may say.  Remember that this is the internet.  Oh, and most importantly, have fun.

Don't go around stating your opinions as facts, or take other people's opinions as facts. This is a very subjective hobby, and there's a lot of hands on learning you gotta do to figure out what you like.
