Looks great, and nice and heavy too. Can we have a sound test of the prototype?

Sure! Here is a sound test with Alpacas V2 filmed and lubed. There's no sound dampening in the board.

Trying to sell something without even showing it from major angles is a red flag. Hope you include topdown pics.

Hey! Thanks for telling me. That wasn't intentional, I just didn't want to clog the start of the post with more pictures. There's a full album available here, that includes a short video: https://imgur.com/a/6Uny3Fy
I'll add it to the post above as well.

Believe you’re the same person I posted a best-effort measuring photo for on discord, but until Rotwitt provides a precise spec sheet, the answer is about 20mm :)

Looks awesome.

I am gonna buy it.

I live in Sweden but work in Denmark, kobenhavn. Is it possible to physically pick it up instead of having it shipped?

"Red flag"... LOL! Plenty of top down pics, in plenty of places.. There is nothing "red flag" about this GB.

Sure no problem! I’ll be shipping out from Odense on Fyn, though so it might be a bit of a ride. I’ll add the option on the website!

I reckon a lot of the hobby’s Danish crowd in CPH will join this one, so if you know one, maybe have it delivered there and save the trip to Fyn :)

Gotta say I'm really loving the look of this board. 65% layout with encoder and per key rgb AND hotswap has me convinced. I was going with a mode65 but seeing this has really changed my mind

I'd be more interested if this was $100 cheaper. $530 for this is too much.

To each their own. It seems perfectly priced to me.

I actually made a small write-up about my previous 430$ cost-target on Reddit. I’ll just copy-paste it here:

“Hey man. I totally get it. It's pretty expensive, no doubt about that.
Back in january when I got the first quote I set a price target of ~430 USD, which I was pretty happy with, but unfortunately the latest quotation that I got from the manu added 100 USD to the manufacturing costs. They state that it's because of the metal prices going crazy as a result of covid-19, and people hoarding whatever raw materials they can. That's unfortunate as there's a lot of raw materials being used to manufacture this board.
I was really bummed out when I found out about the changes to pricing, and was actually really close to abandoning the project as a result. So yeah, wish it was cheaper to manufacture, to allow more people to join, but the circumstances are unfortunately out of my control

Either way, thanks for your interest! I plan to design another, more affordable board in the future :)”

Sorry, I didn't mean to put you down or anything akin to that. It's a shame they upped the costs on you. I will say that the Plum is beautiful, hope to see it featured in your future projects.

For anyone looking for updates:

All updates are available on my discord here: https://discord.gg/kQbxZnJdfF

Here's the latest update from the Discord:

9th of december 2021

Happy holidays everyone! The year is slowly coming to an end, and I wanted to give you all a sincere thank you for your support and trust during this GB. I also want to wish you and your nearest and dearest a fantastic December, with lots of food and good memories.

I’m currently working on the packaging for Polygon in close cooperation with the supplier and things seem to be progressing nicely.

The case manu is currently waiting for my samples to arrive so that they can proceed with the pre-production unit. Hopefully it’ll arrive soon so we can progress to production.

Oh, and I arranged for the gaskets to come preinstalled, so you won’t have to install them yourselves.

And as always; have a good one!
