"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Clickclack has left a sizable and memorable impact in the MK scene where he came in like a meteor and reshaped the standard. A pioneer of the first order, and an artisan the likes of which modern creators still strive to achieve the equal of. The da Vinci of artisan key caps, if you will.

I do hope he's doing well and has found fulfillment in whatever he's up to these days. o7

Well sucks for me that the only Clack I'll be to get is if I pay several hundred. Unless I get a copy from he who shall not be named. But it's not same and I'm sad I missed out on the era of Click Clacks.

He's ALIVE!!!

And necro-bumping with the best of them :p

Which is something of a contradiction when you come to think about it.
