[IC] Phidias F-row less 1800 keyboard

After years of waiting, Phidias finally sees the light.









 Please consider filling out this form, it’ll be really helpful.


General Info


7.5° typing angle
Tadpole & pin mount
Capslock and NumLock indicator LEDs
Centered USB-C Unified C3 Daughterboard
Weights approximately 2.1 kg when built
Multi-Layout options
PCB designed by me configurable with VIA
Widened JST channel for easier assembly


Note: The pin mount option is being tested at the moment, Don’t know if it’ll be offered as an option because it uses another completely different plate, I’ll probably keep the compatibility with pin mount as it doesn’t affect the functionality of the keyboard at all, and at a later time, share the pin mount plate file to those who are interested in this option.

Why is it called Phidias?
The number phi is present in almost every corner of the keyboard, It is also the primary source of inspiration that has gone into the making of this keyboard.

Why FRL?
After using full-size keyboards with the Function keys on them, I found out that I really didn’t use them that much, so it is more of a personal preference.

Do you have a sound test?
I don’t, however, I plan to send the keyboard to streamers once I got the new pin mount plate.

Appreciated! Yes, the materials that deteriorate fast such as brass and copper will be protected.

Thank you! The PCB will only be offered in the solder version, as I want to offer as many layout choices as possible.
The PCB support for other layouts will be modified depending on the results of the IC.

Probably because of the pbt keycap, the pc plate with sw l + f, so the sound is not sharp, but this phone has a pretty good sound.

The tadpoles are mounted on the plate so a plateless option wouldn't be possible, however, I can offer half-plate options for the group buy.

Looking good so far, I like the design! A hot-swappable PCB and sub-$300 price would make this an insta-buy for me. Any plans for more colors?
