Finally got around to unboxing this thing. Mine came with a few blemishes I'll need to contact Senter about, but overall, it's a really nice board. The brass plate and weight really make this feel super solid.

Does anyone else have these weird circle marks on the leaf?

Yeah, I have these marks and the light scratch marks under the weight on the back

Mine as well. Seems like a pretty consistent problem, so likely something to do with the manufacturing process.

Good to see a PC typing test. Thanks!

Here I have another typing test, this time with SA PBT keycaps.

Got it put together! Does anyone know if there is a reset built into the default keymap, or has my eagerness screwed me to take it apart again?

When program it, you can set one key on a separate layer to be the reset button.

Well I was going to say the reset is Fn+Esc but I think the default Fn key is where RWin should be and you're on a winkeyless build... At least it was for me on the hotswap PCB. Not sure if there's another Fn key mapped somewhere.

Try R. Alt + Esc.

Try these methods in the "Put your keyboard into DFU mode" section.

https://beta.docs.qmk.fm/newbs/newbs_flashing

The space+b and unplug method worked for me.

That's what I needed. Fingers crossed they included bootmagic in the default build.

Can confirm space+b when plugging in works for the hotswap PCB for DFU mode.

Anyone know if these LEDs are RGB? if so, how to use that functionality in QMK (through code)?

Just by looking at it they appeared to be two pin SMD LEDs. One color.

I tried all of these do you know if there are any other methods?

I flashed a keymap without a reset key and now I can't seem to figure out how to the pcb back in DFU mode.

Fn + Esc while the keyboard is plugged.

Afaik that only works because the default key map has a reset key on layer 1. The key map I flashed doesn’t have that unfortunately.
My question is if there are any other key combos to reset or will I have to short certain pins on the pcb?

Yes.
There are no physical reset buttons on the PCB but you can contact the RE pin with the GND on the PCB. There are two RE pins near the MCU. Either one should work.

Bootmagic space+B worked for me. Thanks for confirming no reset button Senter.

Also, the LEDs are indeed white single color for those asking.

These are the pins that you can jump to reset the board.

The far right RE (both pins) and the G on the VOG. Use tweezers or paper clips. When it is plugged into QMK, jump before you flash and it should work.

I found these. I think they may be slightly smaller than the ones that came with the board, but I won’t know how well it works until it arrives (4 days from now).

I tried all of these do you know if there are any other methods?

I flashed a keymap without a reset key and now I can't seem to figure out how to the pcb back in DFU mode.

This was actually the same exact situation that I was in which led me to look this up. But yeah, as others have said the space+B method worked for me. Keep holding it after plugging it in until you hear the windows alert chime on your computer.

I guess the screws were not tightened enough due to the e-coating in the screw holes. It was a common issue with e-coating. You can remove the coating with an angle tip tweezer then try to tighten the screws again.

I noticed this issue as early as in the Leaf 80 GB. In this GB, some of the screw holes were blocked before E-coating. Some are not for various reasons. Now as we've learned how to do it, all the screw holes in future E-coating cases will be blocked properly. I'm sorry for the additional confusions and the troubles you got in this GB.

I was able to solder WS1812 strips to the back of the PCB. Connect the 5v wire to the V pin on the PCB, Data to O, and Ground to G. It's an "open circuit", the arrows should be pointing away, and you don't need to 'close' the circuit by adding more wires.

However, there isn't enough space for the LEDs in the case so you may have to sand the bottom case.
