Can I get in on this? I just want to deposit a pube. Perhaps a booger. I dunno.

Did not need that imagery in my head this morning.

What image did you need?

I honestly have not tried topre yet.

That makes sense. I've noticed all the custom MX boards you've accrued. If you had tried Topre early, you'd have no need for another MX board.  :-*

I'm slightly afraid to give it a try, if I loved it then I wouldn't want to type on my customs. :(

I would be. As soon as I tried topre I dropped all my mx stuff. I have very little use for it at this point and only use it to please the artisan gods.

I think one more?? I CANT MATH THIS EARLY

Depends on if you count Mattr567.

I know I don't qualify post wise, and if you can't let me than that's completely fine. I'm not going pull the 'spam posts to qualify' bull****.

You can check my reddit history, same username as I have here: /u/Mattr567. Lots of posts on /r/mk etc. E3E and Blaise170 can vouch for me here, traded with both of them in the past.

Feel free to PM if you wish.

Thanks.

I love MX linears, particular Vintage Blacks and Gateron, but that's about it. I tried Zealios after having used a Realforce for months, but nothing beats Topre in terms of the best tactile experience. Zealios are great, but Topre is just something else.
And as for clicky, everyone knows buckling springs are GOAT.

Seems like there will be a huge wait list. Thought I'd throw my hat in the bag. Would only want to try it for a day.
Edit: if someone from Portland gets this, I'd be interested in coming by =)

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I've spent TONS on random switch and spring combinations, and settled on my MX switch of choice as Vintage Black (so, so smooth) and my Gateron switch of choice as Clears (well any of their linear switches, however the clear ones look the best to me). Topre at work and Topre when I want some Tactile action (and if I'm on Skype, lol)
MX Silent > MX Vintage Black > Everything Else

I was going to say something like this. ^^

Topre switches, and especially the HHKB, are the most satisfying tactile experience in mass production today. Browns, clears, and their variants just feel wobbly and cheap by comparison. My favorite linear switch is a slightly-stiffer-than-stock MX red. Blues are fun on occasion for the click factor, but I won't need that anymore as soon as I get my Elipse F77. ;D

I'm a bit short on the post count, but it looks like this board will convert many to topre.
I need more keyboards to hold all of these keycaps.

Here's the thing: for some, you have to give it time. The first day or few I actually didn't like my Realforce much. I typed on it and thought, "That's it?" Mind you, this was when $200 was a lot to spend on a keyboard to me, so I had the highest of hypes in my mind. After a couple of weeks, however, and constantly swapping between different keyboards during then, nothing could or can pry me from my Realforce. I now keep mine at work where I do the most typing in the day.  :D

I'm looking at some pictures of Topre boards and I can't find any with backlighting. Who should I send it to that can install some?

BLOOD LINE BANNED

Topre has nothing going for it. I'm getting a Razer Blackwidow Chroma. It's even cheaper than your HHKB.

I don't have 200 posts but I'm getting one of these expensive as **** things anyway, in part due to demik's shilling.

I'm picturing something like this:

As a former Mormon missionary ... this video is frustratingly inaccurate. Except for the costumes, those are spot on. :thumb:

Thank god I don't live in the US.

People there always trying to convert you.

I promise to fill the board with MX sliders and put an SA set on it if you send it to me. I'll even throw in an artisan, the HKP Warmaster.

Why stop there?  Skip the SA set all together and just replace every key with Warmasters.

I don't have enough money for that.  :(

HEY NO DIRTY CHERRY TALK. THIS IS A TOPRE SAFE SPACE.

You sure are hyping up Topre. This board had best not disappoint me.

you had better not disappoint topre

Why don't my SA sets fit on it!?!?!?!?!

Okay, I'm sorry. But before I go can you tell me why the o-rings don't work? I tried putting them around the circle stem thingy but it's not doing anything.

You know what's expensive? Throwing your money at Cherry when they all suck.
