If four/multiple encoders aren’t possible, hoping we can get layer support on the encoder so we can control volume, scroll, brightness, etc.
The stock firmware submitted does not support encoders at all, which was a miss on our part but we are looking into it.
Hey, just wondering if you made any progress on encoder support. I'm building QMK from source, so not worried about VIA compatibility, and I've tried following QMK's instructions
here to add support to my layout but I've got stuck with the values for ENCODERS_PAD_A and ENCODERS_PAD_B since I don't know which pins the encoders are routed to. I tried a few random combinations but there are quite a lot of permutations and I gave up in the end
Is it as simple as finding out the correct values for these macros and plugging them in, or is there more work that needs to go into adding support to the firmware?
Thanks!
PS: I'm not trying multiple encoders or anything fancy like that, either -- just a single encoder in the very top-left socket. Should that be a relatively easy thing to do if I knew the right pad values?
EDIT: Sorry, I missed your post from April 27 saying you were still looking at it when I posted this. Follow-up question, though, since you mention multiple encoders: should it be relatively easy with a single encoder?
