What is the meaning of the two japanese signes in the novelties?

野营, chinese for camping

In Japanese, camping is actually a loanword and is spelled in katakana ala キャンプ(する).

野営 (やえい)means camping in Japanese too. Along with 野宿 and キャンピング。

Also any chance for that backspace novelty going on a 1.5u for us split backspace users? :)

The second character is not 営. It's 营.

I like the flowers on the 2.25u keys, looks nice imo.

The numpad does look a little bare though compared to the other alphas, I don't suppose there's any sublegends available for there?

I would kill for a "Compact bonfire grill" novelty.

Let's face it, Yuru Camp is gonna be this set's mascot/spiritual animal.

I'm also for changing the sakura Enter to something else. Not because it's not muscle macho enough (LOL), but I simply already have one of these:

This has been brought up a couple of times but I've yet to see a response; would you consider adding novelty arrow keys? The compass arrow inspired arrow keys from R1 really left an impression and I'd love to see them return or see a new design entirely.

I've been thinking about that, but the thing is, the compass arrows are something unique in r1.
I don't want to touch the arrows unless I have better/different inspirations or receive better/different ideas.
Simply recreate another shape of the compass arrows is meaningless imo, in that case I better leave it in r1.

These novelties turn out nicely!
For the rice ball, reversing the color may also do the trick.

As i again looked into R1 novelty enter - maybe reconsider mount fuji

Otherwise top new noveltys like the rice and knife most of all, great the be ready for R2  :thumb:

Many are asking for just a rerun of R1, which I always find boring, so I definitely enjoy this kind of attitude.
I agree that an accented arrow kit would be real nice. How about something like a swallow for the icon?

I think the compass arrows have been made to its perfection in r1.
In the meanwhile, I'm trying something that's the same as the compass arrows but slightly different and fits the theme.
Not sure if it will work.

I'm going to assume the right arrow key has the "East" legend and the left arrow key has the "West" legend. If so, I am going to demand, DEMAND you add two more keys with those two legends swapped around, for the benefit of mech enthusiasts in Venus. I'd like to see some of the row 1 novelties moved down to r4, but that may be a minority opinion. I'd rather have more novelties on my bottom row than my top, especially if it's a 65% board or smaller.

As my keyboard @ work (where this set will be used) is a 108 board, I‘m super happy with many R1 keys.

The best solution will be - please add even more noveltys  with other sets i‘m always skeptical about too much noveltys... but here... there can‘t be too much - as they are so good

Please consider doing the kanji on the arrow keys in a gothic style font similar to the hiragana sublegends rather than brushed. It would match better with GMK legends and would be a nice callback to R1's arrow novelties.

Do we really need addition legends on the arrow keys? I mean, it's pretty self explanatory- I think adding it only clutters up those keys.

Would you consider breaking up the numb pad from the base kit? If you ran a poll, I'm sure you'll find out, not many actually use that kit.

Absolutely we do.

Seems like a lot of GBs are doing this, and I for one am really glad this one is keeping the "numb pad" in the base kit!

edit: the novelties look absolutely amazing, kingnestea!  So excited for this GB!
