Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the Nomad kit can be greatly reduced in size:

All of these are already included in base kit and are redundant for 40% layouts.
Unless the goal is to add a Nomad kit to a Rainbow kit and cover 40s that way. However, it would then require three or four more R4 1.25u keys and you can drop all the 1u keys.
Base kit contains 4x 1u R4 mods keycaps. I wanted to offer 2x more for arrows + lower/raise.
1u R3 green dot is intended to be Caps Lock/Enter (base kit is offering the other).
1u R2 mod is for symmetry.
1u R2 orange is for Esc.
1.75u R3 Green is Enter.
1.50 R4 Yellow is Shift.
All the colored 1u R4 mods are for symmetry on Preonic or any similar layout.
I could add some spacebars in it, but I still think most of the keycaps migth be needed for some layouts.
First of all, thanks for replying to the feedback. I was worried it would be drowned in the enthousiastic responses. (I'm also excited about it, btw!)
I checked on the 40s Discord before posting this. I don't think people are particularly worried about the symmetry. No one brought that up.
As for ortho users, I seriously doubt anyone with an ortho keyboard will be buying the base kit over the Rainbow kit, unless the cost is the equal.
Some 40s users will also try to get away with Rainbow + Nomad as long as R4 1.25u isn't used.
I understand your reasoning and appreciate your effort to accommodate symmetry and that is your vision for the set. But in reality I think that's not going to be the goal of those trying to cover their board without spending a whole lot of money.
