Cardboard Box for Keyboard Storage
« on: Thu, 25 August 2011, 22:45:01 »
I have few keyboards, mainly IBM Model M and Space Savers and am M15, that don't have boxes.  Anyone knows where I could purchase cardboard boxes that would fit Model M and Spave Saver?  Best would be the kind with flaps that lock itself closed.  Thanks.

Yeah, I read the thread where they discussed that, but I think they were talking about retailers in EU.  I am hoping there are similar ones in the States.

Thank you Ripster!  This is a nice find!  Minimum order is 25 for $53.  Let me see if they have any shorter ones for tenkeyless keyboards.

Hum, the one you link is 19 1⁄8 x 9 1⁄8 x 2 3⁄16", just a tad too short for Model M keyboards.  My Model M measures 19 1/4" long.

Found another one.  Same size, almost half the price, but minimum order at 50.  http://www.ameripac.net/details.cfm?id=MFL1992

$55.10 for 50 boxes, + $30.74 shipping! LOL!

If you're in the CONUS I believe the USPS has large flat rate boxes that fit boards nicely

Yes, I could do that.  I am hoping there would something nicer, something that I can open and close securely easily :-)

Orjust wrap it in a bag then duct tape it...take your pick. Cuz 80$ for a bunch of boxes is garbage plus flat rate boxes are free until you use them to mail. Just pick up a dozen boxes and then they can be multipurpose between shipping and storing:)
