That's a big phantom ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

My very first Cherry MX board is in the mail, purchased from jabar, a Ducky with MX Greens. The majority of my boards are buckling springs (Model M's) and a single white ALPS board, but all the fancy toys seem to come almost exclusively for MX keyswitches -- so, I had to get one. Hoping the MX Greens are as stiff and clicky as they say. Can't wait to try it out!

They are stiff, and hopefully all of yours will be clicky.  They will also feel different to buckling springs, but hopefully in a good way :)

New guy here. I have been a lurker for a while, and had a Ducky Shine up until now. Just bought a Noppo Choc Mini I found on the classifieds here from a fellow Indiana keyboard enthusiast. It is on the way.

Plan to use it for work, campus, and general on the go use. Should be a good companion to my laptop and tablet.

Well... two weeks and two Mirras later, I've decided to just have a local reseller order one direct from Herman Miller.

Amazing to me that Amazon can't ship an $800 chair without breaking it... twice.

Well, the first time was Fedex, and the second time was UPS, so apparently NOBODY can ship an $800 chair without breaking.

Found a local Herman Miller reseller that can get me the same chair for $200 cheaper, so Amazon can go F themselves.

And it just arrived....a new Leopold FC700R with Cherry MX Browns. The keycaps really look like they've been pad printed. The MS key on the LHS is also maligned. HHKB 2 in the background. Note the slightly higher key profile of the Enter key.... For some reason my Nexus 4 has a pink spot tint in the middle (i.e. too lazy to pull out my dslr) :)

Owning a Cherry MX Blue board (Blackwidow), I've got to say the keys feel pretty darn good, the non-clicky action is certainly desirable now that I do use Topre keys as my daily driver. With preference to "typing accuracy," looks like the Leopold is winning so far due to standard layout, but...in terms of tactility; I still prefer that "thock bump" of the HHKB.

Both those boards look amazing.
Wish i could get a hold of one of those Leopold boards.

Can't you buy Leopolds in North America?

I spy with my little eye a corsair 2500 2.1 speaker set?!

Speaking of I have said speakers and a book on Powershell coming to my door today. Woo!

R.I.P Logitech Z-2300s, I'll miss you.

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Will they drop it or does Canada give out those "F U POST OFFICE WEENER!" slips too? Or one of the "Snow too bad on your driveway slips"?

Only if no one answers the door do they give a note, if the package requires a signature. Too much snow? Unheard of.
